I want one of those,BAD !
Who or what do I need to do to get one?
xxl
That design is Bad Ass !
-
awesome!
-
Simply awesome Rusty, what does a poor boy have to do to get one of those?
Flamin' Nora!
BTW - it would go down well with my fellow, and rather stiff upper lipped, members of the Lincolnshire Lancaster association.

Another belter from our grand fromage. :)
Shame I cant be there to wear one....

Rusty - even by the standards of excellence set by your designs in recent years, that is simply outstanding and stunning. It's even more poignant for me, as I am just pulling together the final details of the op history of a relative who was a Flight Engineer on Lancasters for 15 months, from 1942-44, on continuous ops throughout that time, and along with many others over that period, sacrificed his life, together with the rest of his crew, on 20/21 Apr 44. As always, thank you.

-
Love it. Was at Brooklands last weekend looking at the tall boy and grand slam and bouncing bomb. Only the Lancaster could carry them.
-

Less known piece of poetry that seems appropriate.

I thought there was some hideous chilli related initiation ceremony that had to be endured before you could get hold of a Bretheren T-Shirt?!

I can vouch for the toxicity of The Chilli Challenge. I couldn't see for twenty minutes, and during that time I was completely helpless. Rusty was a rock though, - "Easy there fella, easy...".

Ouch! :o
Also don't touch your face, that bloke, about 3 years ago, got some in his eyes :o
Once you have regained the ability to breath, and about 20 minutes later to talk, it's fine.
-
Great design!!! Bring on the chilli challenge... For stu at least? >:D

I want to collect from BN but at $3000, the cost of the flights makes that one expensive t-shirt. ::)

Hi Rusty, I'd like a XL, and an L for the missus. That will keep her from wearing mine!
-
Good afternoon all,
I'll be sending the finished artwork off this weekend to the printer and will be in touch with everyone who's kindly requested one our shirts via PM as to cost and payment methods in the coming week.
They can either be posted or collected from BN, as you wish.
See you all in a few weeks.
You'll also be pleased to hear that the truck formally known as the ' popemobile ' will be wearing it's full livery which was sadly missing last year. Decals are in hand and due to be applied with in the next couple of weeks.
All the best
Rusty

Damn, trip to spa so missed the thread. Could I get two Xl shirts please if possible.

I'd consider it an honour to be able to wear one , so if poss I'd like an L.
Cheers, Gordon.
-
As I type, shirts are currently being printed to the finest quality and will be with me on the 26th before my jolly jaunt to Bognor and a weekend of fun at Butlins with 60 of the finest from my local boozer.
Thanks to all that have already coughed up. Those that haven't....excluding our international friends....Sausage will be sent to you NAKED to collect your dues and those that refuse will be trussed and flayed........... You know who you are.
See you all in a field in France.

Late to the party again - gutted, but what an awesome design .... (where's the envy smiley?)
-
Hi Rusty
I even forgot to order a CA one, mostly because I was on holiday and prior to that extra busy at work and home. If you have a xxl available I would appreciate it, but do not want to be 'involved' in an initiation!
Thanks

Hi Rusty, if you send me the details I'll send cheque, etc.
If that's ok......
Cheers, Gordon.

Hey Phil, good shots, is that the flying Lanc based in Canada.
I was hoping to do the same at an RAF Odium family day last week with BMF. Unfortunatly they were not able to attend for some undisclosed reason.

RAF Odium? Is that anywhere near RAF Odiham??
If so, why the hell didn't you call in?? :-(
-
Sorry Mark, yes it was a great, day Sally B, Sabre, Hawke, Tornado and a very strange Rusian Bi-Plane that could fly at about 30 mph and take off and land in about 30m!
Unfortuanly couldn't hang around after, had to head back.
-
Hi Ian,
Yes this is the Canadian flying one. This particular aircraft was built in Canada and did not see action as it was put into service at the end of the war.
Phil
-
Here's a Russian bi-plane SR, I've no idea what the hell it is though.
To be fair, it wasn't a great airport.....

Lower one is an Antonov AN2

Lower one is an Antonov AN2
Yes, that looks like it Nick, just slightly better condition though, very lumbering, IIRC they said built up untill 2002, apparently uses 45 gallons/ hour which is, apparently, a lot even for an airplane.

Top one is an Ilyushin IL76
Narrative:
A Russian Air Force Il-76MD transport plane registered RA-76825 was ready to depart from Makhachkala Airport (MCX). The airplane, with a crew of seven, taxied to the runway. At the same time another Il-76 (RA-76827) came in to land. The wing of the landing aircraft struck the flight deck of the stationary airplane, ripping away a large part of the forward fuselage. A fire erupted. Three of the seven crew members died. The landing Il-76 suffered damage to the wing but none of the 31 occupants were hurt.
Makhachkala has a single runway (14/32), measuring 8688 × 230 ft (2648 × 70 m).

Blimey Landman, nice one, that's the place alright.
It's the only airport I've been to where you could buy weapons in the terminal shop.
-
I punched the reg number in to Google and it threw up the info from a site called Aviation News (I think)
P.
-
So what did you buy BigH
-
So what did you buy BigH
Well.
The little daggers were very pretty, in fact the general workmanship, right up to the ceremonial and samurai swords was very impressive.
A hand gun and a bunch of rounds looked good value, and I was led to believe an AK47 with 33 in the jacket could be had, under the counter, as it were.
In the end I settled for a Snickers.
