In what year were the old Mulsanne corner signalling posts first used?
-
1964 ?
-
The year I was born, but not the right answer I'm afraid.
Earlier......
-
Could I say 1949 as the reopening edition ?? ???
-
Closer Gilles, there was something that happened that gave rise to the thought of the signalling post in terms of safety.
-
Was there a Ferrari involved ? If yes then it was some time in the 1950s.
-
No to the Ferrari comment but yes to the 1950s!
-
So it could be nothing but 1956 !!!
-
Wahhaaaayyy!! Well done Gilles!!
It was indeed part of the modifications made in the name of safety after the 1955 accident.
