CA has been around for a long while. We started way back in 1995, but that was on a different server and those files are gone now. There are remnants of '96 onwards... see if you can find them.
Start with 1997 and 1998.

And the old 'visitors book' the precursor to the CA Forum

2012 will be our 18th year, making us the the longest continuously operating website dedicated to the 24 hours of Le Mans (as far as I know).

Cool, just found my first post from 27th March 1997 in the vistors book . That's almost 15 years ago. I'm getting old...
-
Jeez, Kristensen shows up even then! ;D
So many memorable names!
-
Excellent, keep up the good work.
-
Wow, so many names and books I'm gonna have to surf for mine.
I remember going to NEC to meet Dave next to Johnie Herbert fan club stall about 1997/8??
I still have my original green CA polo which still gets worn on the Saturday CA meet, photo evidence somewhere, Good stretch fit around the beer gut! ;D

It was so long ago, I didn't even have a pc yet in 1997, but on the whole it was interesting for me as for a newbie here to read these discussions.

All the complaints about ACO ticketing, toilets, safety fencing etc... plus ca change...
Funny to see all the old ISPs like Compuserve, Demon and AOL, happily all now gone the the cyberwall, the thieving bastards.
Some familiar names on there including Tom D-G and Clive Deeks of The Brethren.
Oh, and does anyone know what happened to Wallace E Chin?
-
I dunno about Wallace E Chin, but there's a guy on there whose name is Kuntz..... and I've met a fair few of those over the years ;)
-
Lovely to see - remember the "old school" forum threads, stretching down and across the page, as people chatted back and forth, and then the flood of people as each year approached trying to get/buy/swop tickets.......
