Hi all,
Since I’m really busy this year in my real job I do need much more help than in previous years to finish the CA Guide 2012. Right now the plan is as follows:
1. Until 25th May: Finish all chapters (except the entry list).
2. 26th May – 3rd June: Proofreading of all chapters (except the entry list)
3. 4th June: Finish the entry list, add pictures of cars from test day, update with latest changes in the driver squads. @The termites: Can you take pictures for the Entry list at the test day? Are others going to the test day who can help with this too?
4. 5th – 6th June: Compile guide, last polish
5. Thursday, 7th June: Publish CA Guide for download
I will take care of 3,4 and 5 but I do need your help on 1 (most important) and 2: Several chapters require updates which need to be done until 25th May. I do need authors for:
• Chapter „Le Mans (not just) for Dummies – A brief history“ at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:lm-introduction: Could someone please add a paragraph (approx.. half page) about the epic 2011 race and update the winner list? And may be shorten the description of the 2010 race?

• Chapter “The 2012 race week schedule” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:schedule-2012 : Could someone please check and add more details if available – There is no schedule of the support races yet in there

• Chapter “The support races” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:support-race : This need a full update, it’s still on 2011 level

• Chapter “Entry list introduction” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:entrylist-2012-intro : This needs a full update since criteria to get a car on the grid has changed massively with the new WEC thingy
• Chapter “WEC - The new "World Endurance Championsship" at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:wec : This is half way ready and needs someone who does a sanity check and finishes it.
• Chapter “The ACO campsites at Le Mans - General Information” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:campsites-general-info : This needs a sanity check and some updates, ie add prices for 2012 and other.

• Chapter “Media coverage - Following the race from home” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:media-coverage needs a complete update
• Chapter “Le Mans related web sites and forums” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:www-links needs a check if the links are still valid

• Chapter “The Club Arnage Forum Gathering” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:ca-gathering needs an update – I suggest we keep the location / time, or?
For all volunteers: Please place your name in this thread for the chapter you want to take responsibility for, so others know which chapters are already being taken care of. In case you are not comfortable to do the update in the wiki directly let me know, I can send you a word-copy so you can do the updates in there.
Proofreaders: In case you want to take over a chapter (or more) just let me know by PM and I will allocate work. Proofreading needs to be done from 26th May – 3rd June
So, come on girls and boys – let’s put together another fabulous 2012 Guide!

thanks a lot for all the help offered. As far as proof reading is concerned we are all set - I will distribute proof reading tasks soon.
However, I still need at least 4 more authors for the following chapters:

Small ones: I use 2 pics for each car for the entry list, each one with width of 350 px, height of 210 px. For an example how I did it last year see http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:entrylist . Usually - if available I use one pic showing the car on track in action, and a second one showing the car at standstill e.g. in the pitlane or some intersting detail of it.
I have already started with the text for the 2012 entry list at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:entrylist-2012 - LMP1 is alraeyd finished - except pics of course.

Good work guys. Only just spotted this so sorry for not pitching in.
Just a quick thought.... The Classic is gaining in popularity and maybe a chapter might make a nice addition. I've been to every one bar the first now, so would be happy to contribute something as would others I'm sure. If you could offer some guidelines as to what would be required ie, length of piece, format, photos etc... I'm sure I could put something together.

Seems like you might need DSC subscription to view this year's entry list, does anybody know for sure (Might be me)
Would the the lemans. org version be as up to date ?

ACO released an updated entry list yesterday, guess this should be up to date ?
Don 't have much pictures of the cars standing still in the pit or garage area from Sebring, Is the pits accessible on Saturday before the testday ? Could manage to get there early in the afternoon and snap some pictures then.

I think it is accessible - afaik in the past Deb always managed to take pics there. If we don't have a pic of a car standing still this is not a problem, in the past then I took a second pic of the car on track just showing it form a different perspective (rear, fron) or zoomed into some detail.
