Here's an idea, why not turn this into a GT2/3.
I would be a shame not to build on legacy of those that went before.

Even with an aluminium chassis (if it really does end up with one in production), it can't shake off it's Ford Mondeo heritage. The moment Jaguar started reaching for the Ford parts bin, the marque became irretrievably blemished for me.

Time for them to rebuild the brands sporting pedgree after the F1 shambles and the rocketspots nightmare.
Jag along with Aston suffered parts donor shame when Ford owned them. Aston has come along way since then. Tata could do worse than look at that a a template for Jag.
Sportscars sell, go along the mercedes benz world, they have put a GT3 gullwing as the first car you see, not a F1, they are hidden away upstairs.
GT racing offers far more legacy than F1, for a fracton of the cost.

The current range of Jaaaaaaaags are miles away from the previous "Fords".
Interesting that the F-Type comes with a 3.0 litre V6 or a 5.0 litre V8 (both supercharged) - I wonder which you choose for GTE??
-
Just to throw this in the mix, if Ford had not bought them maybe they would be in the same place as the Rover group and a lot of
other British and European companies???
( I declare an interest. Ford/Jag Landrover pay me a very good pension!!)

Is it just me, or were anyone else's first thoughts "oh, Maserati"? ::)

I always wait to see one 'in the metal' before I'll pass judgement.
