Saw him/raced against him/got my arse kicked by him at a charity karting event a few weeks back, he was in good spirits, but still had his concerns - even in the relatively non physical karts that we were racing (Twin engine Pro-Kart tanks) he felt he wasn't quite right - but that was partially because his seat stantion broke on the second lap.... ::)
Good to see him back competing - a truly nice bloke, who was more than happy to chat about both how to tackle the circuit we were racing on, and his experiences at Le-Mans.
-
Fingers and toes crossed and good luck to him... :)

Says the man who came stone cold last - LAST! - at the DfH karting tournament at Bleekemolen track at Delft, despite flying out his own helmet and monogrammed nomex race suit! Me and Paul Z couldn't breath with laughter as Steve Z lapped you on the second lap! ;)

LOL! Terrific Father-Son banter ;D
Merry Christmas all, interesting days ahead for our beloved sport. Will be at various bike, and car race meetings in the midwest US, and the Petit in October over here, hope to share a beer with you at one or more of them!
Cheers,
Boorish Grobian :D

Oh God, the Father-Son mistake comes up again. :D

Just noticed the name change... :)

I'm beginning to feel like lord McAlpine...
-
Why? What do you want him for?
Dad...
and it is good news about Davidson
-
So Bill, are you Andy, Brad and Bob's dad then?...
And wasn't Davidson one of the 'drive the Audi of the track' gang a few years ago?
I do not wish any driver an accident but perhaps what goes around does come around... I think it does anyway proved by the fact that my wife now keeps me awake with HER snoring.
>Martini...LB
-
DAD! :o
I know I'm of an elderly disposition but I say...
(I'm not sure why but I'm sort of kind of glad-ish that my ONLY son won't come to LM with me) ;)

I can't speak for the others but Bill lived just down the road from us when I was born... and my mum had a Cortina estate that used to break down a lot, often on a wet and windy night, and she was a member of the AA... (Scratches chin). ???

Holy cr@p! That means that Helen beat him too and I've seen her in a cart - Brad, you need help, lol ;D

The best part of this, is that I've never mentioned, for fear of embarrassing Lord Zarse, that whilst he is not my father, he is technically old enough for it to be possible. Given that he has clearly felt the need to bring up a very unfortunate trip to a kart track in Holland (and exaggerate the truth a little), he can shove his feelings.
If you want the really weird twist, my father IS on Club Arnage, and posts under a different name....
The other odd twist is that my actual father, is only marginally older than Lord Zarse. As well as the fact that Andy Zarse, also has a son who is only a matter of months older than my son....
Strange the twists life throws up.... Fortunately, having Andy Zarse I his 20's and 30's as my role model growing up isn't one of them, else it's likely that I'd be even more of a little sh*t than I am now ;D

I'm not sure that's possible

I would sometimes agree.

Oh, I shall look forward to giving Anthony one of my *ahem* "motivational speeches" (TM) at the drivers parade this year, once again. :D

Better get ourselves to the City centre a bit earlier then to grab a suitably prominent position.
