Seeing as it's now only four weeks till we depart for the great race, and the Accuweather long range forecast http://www.accuweather.com/en/fr/le-mans/135975/june-weather/135975?monyr=6/1/2013 (http://www.accuweather.com/en/fr/le-mans/135975/june-weather/135975?monyr=6/1/2013), now heads into the Le Mans Week, heres hoping for a sunny and warm (or even hot) week! We must be due a very good one by now.

...but no need to worry...they will hold the race no matter the weather...unlike NASCAR

That wasn't rain...it was Biblical!

Perhaps not the right place to put this but it could be relevant, and I did not want to start an advertising thread.
This lot send me regular mails and there are some good deals on it.

Obviously living in Guernsey I have no association to the company, apart from using them on the odd occasion.

Kristof,
Trust me, stopping the race at the Ring was absolutely the right call for not only the safety of the drivers but also the marshals. We was out at Aremberg when the rain hit and visability was pretty bad at that point and we commented on how bad it must be for the drivers in those conditions. We walked back to the car and went back to the campsite and it then started to rain 3 x heavier than when we were at the track. That rain never let up until about 7 am and the camp site flooded, the floor in the living area in the front of my tent looked a bit like a river that night. Combine that with thick fog that also came down at the same time and it was just outright dangerous to continue with the race. You know only too well how dangerous that track can be in good conditions.

From your neck of the woods and not a NASCAR fan (tho' I used to be when they were really sorta stock cars with cages in 'em) but why compare (mostly) oval racers with road racers? ??? :)
-
They won't even run in the rain on a road course. They won't even run if the track is the least bit wet. Just watched the Aussie V-8 race in the rain. Did NASCAR ever hear of rain tires?
They just went to fuel injection last year and still use a hand jack...and attendance is in the crapper. Please!
-
Please what???
I still wanna know why you're comparin' apples and oranges...
-
i still use my hand jack :)

I will only believe it the weekend before, but can't resist having a look, and it's look good for arrival, maybe a shower or two for the race.
Not getting exited at all. 8)

This one doesn't look so bad and on balance I prefer its prognosis.

Strange weather in Northern Europe at the mo big warm air mass moving up who knows what we will face
this weekend so pack for all eventualities!!!!
-
Let's face it there is bugger all any of us can do about it except, as usual, pack clothing suitable for all four seasons of the year and expect to use it all at some point. We will still all have fun.
-
Its a miserable damp day over here. Lashed down through the night.

Sorry guys! Good luck and enjoy the wet-weather racing. All things being equal I think the racing in the wet is some of the most exciting racing I watch. At Sebring it will come down in buckets and then stop, sun comes out and it is hot again. Strategy is cool to watch. Try to buck up for the rain and I hope you either stay dry or have a great place to get in for the rain.
-
If it's hot and sunny we get a sun tan and have trouble keeping the beer cold.
If it rains we get wet.
Whatever happens we have an awesome time.
The weather will be what it is.
I couldn't care less as long as I'm there!
-
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Before the internet peddling doom we set off without clue about what to expect. Simpler times!

Couldn't agree more. Stop looking at weather forecasts.
