ok input done 8)

Is that on the access road again or further in?

Its further in to the left. The access road (dual carriageway) runs to the right of columns 35/36
-
Just hope it's not in the part that flooded last year
-
We need a long power lead from there, its behind the toilets on the hedge line
-
There goes the fuses again ;D
-
No I will take care of it this year not a retired firefighter ;-)

Hope your not implying me into that statement. I believe it was yourself and darren and a massive downpour that caused all the problems last year. ;D ;D
Plus I'm not retired for about another 12 weeks so that definitely rules me out from last year.. :)
-
can I book the pitch with the noisy English bastards please ;D as the noisy French bastards we had last year had sense of humour by-passes
-
so did ours especially at the sound of our deisel genny :-)
-

There's a simple solution: Book Camp Carnage on BN. Plenty of noise and no one cares :-)

There's every possibility, or so I'm told, that we might end up being neighbours on BN this summer. 8)

By the time you get there we will all be very quietly unconscious.

this, I doubt

As we will soon be getting our tickets from TL.

New style numbering on the pitches this year, they have replaced rang numbers with letters.
That will confuse the staff on the gate. ;D
-
And not just the staff! 8)
Is someone willing and able to make the necessary changes?
-
More likely to confuse the staff on the gate than the happy campers, we usually know where we are better than they do.
I was going to update the plan, but I've seen the Bretherns allocation, which they have been told is the same spot as last year, if it is, I can't figure out the new system, unless they have redone the layout of the pitches.
Having had a more detailed look at the plan, comparing it with ticket references I've seen, it's not just a simple substitution of letters for numbers on the rang.
82's exist this year, which is a roadway on the old plan, so it's a total renumbering or a new layout or a SNAFU on the ticket printing.
Guess we will have to see when we get there.
Oh the excitement!
-
Barry,
Just had a look and my 6 pitches look as if they are close to The Brethren's location for 2013.
Comments?
-
That would tally ish.
But letters on left of the plan were the cells on the original spread sheet not rangs.
But would be typical of our French friends to have A at the bottom and Z to the top on the plan. ::)
You have S to Q 88 - 89?
Couldn't get much closer to the burnout area!
Are you mascarading as the Liverpool Boys?
-
Way it would fit is if the pitches by the airport fence are A and what was rang 3 is B, with the bottom most 85 and 86 pitches as AA, the pair above being Z.
-
Marked ours where I think they might be, Rang S & T place 88
-
I think it's all changed this year as we would be in a roadway off the map ??
Maybe the ACO could tells us or furnish us with a map in future with the tickets (sarcasm)
Seriously though it is ridiculous that they allocate numbers and then don't give you the plan, imagine if the did that with every rock concert or sports match it would be chaos !
-
Struggling to understand the map this year as my numbers aren't on the picture posted on here. I have places 36 - P, Q, R & S can anyone shed any light on where abouts this is in BN. Also is this in the Club Arnage allocation or have I been given general allocation by Team Langoustine. What numbers has everyone else got please.
-
Think they have redone the layout as well as re-numbering Chris, will probably have to wait till we get there to find out.
I predict chaos on the gate. ;D
-
Oh marvellous, I look forward to receiving my tickets and then trying to work out where on BN we will be.
-

Never mind that they probably won't have informed the bicycle attendants either and they will have to work it out too !
They'll probably just plonk people in random spots around BN then start filling up the field across the road like they did to us in previous years when we arrived on the thursday and they realised they had given our pitch away. I believe they called it BN annex that year !!!

bicycle attendants - few years ago, - she was very nice on her bike, she took us all over the site, till she realised she had the map upside down ;D

That field used to be Bleu Sud annexe.

I seem to recall she was nice but as expected hadn't a clue where any of the pitches were. Now they've worked it out the change was guaranteed! I'm sure we'll cope :)
-
Just got my allocation from TL - Rang D all the way to O, place 36. I'm presuming there's no obviously direct mapping to the old Rang numbers - which started a 3 anyway. If they run from A -> now, then the place 36 is larger than previously. If they start at C (which is always possible, given than 3 was the previous start) then it means my block would fit into Place 36 but with a spot at either end.

We now have the renamed plan... should be editable by anyone, without having to suffer Google Spreadsheets...

There's an attempt to show the basic location in the 2nd sheet...

Aerial photo of the area is on http://binged.it/1jP8h4Y

That looks better.
-
Brilliant, thanks. just need the tickets now.
-
Top man, well done.
Barry, sorry but we're immediately next to you, let the snore-fest begin!

Snoring implies there'll be some sleep?!

I now have the tickets and will plot where we are over the next couple of day.
-
Mmmm, just plotted my allocation on the new plan. My total of 17 pitches in 4 distinct parts of the campsite. A block of 8 pitches, a block of 5 pitches and 2 blocks of 2 pitches, not what I asked for ???.
First 3 are all at Southern end of site and not unacceptably spread (A-P 7, 8, 11) but I also have 2 pitches at the other end of the campsite T76 and U 76 >:(.
Ewan , on the linked site plan pitches A11 and B11 are still greyed as your allocation. However, that doesn't seem to tie in with your post below and I've received tickets for A11 and B11? Grateful if you would clarify that you only have D36-O36.
Of course when we get there it will be totally different!
-
Added my six pitches.
Entrance is shown on this map is bottom right - surely it should be bottom left??
Del
-
Del - the entrance should be just above where the road label says "Route de la Heronniere" - that's the main drag into BN where the toilet block is; you drive straight towards the airfield and then turn left or right along the fence at the top of the picture. The whole picture is basically rotated 45 degrees from where it should be (see http://binged.it/1oSVDF4) just to make it a bit easier to envisage.
elanman - the A11/B11 etc grayed out squares were there when I got the original spreadsheet - I've un-grayed them now on the version online... Bad luck on the allocation - did you get them from TL or somewhere else?
-
Ewan, thanks for confirming that, I assumed that was the case but it's good to know. I now know where the French element of our party are and it will be manageable I think, apart from the 2 at the opposite end of the campsite. Tickets came from Le Mans Tourist Office whom I've dealt with for many years.

Thanks for this, I've just added our allocation.

Are those your pitches in red for 2015 Brian?
Whose are the yellow ones?
-
No Barry, they are 2014, we have 10 again this year a block of 5 and 5 singles scattered all over the site, as marked in yellow >:(
-
Bloody ACO, that's a bummer.
Posted a new thread for this year.
