The best thing about that is the race position of the Aston on the scoreboard
-
I think it is good, except for the faces top right...
Won't be seeing it though because I am going to the Classic... Only one there I think, even Fran has deserted me for some TT event.

Noooo - i am missing the Classic to go to the Southern 100 which although it is on the Isle of Man is a much more intimate affair and not on the Mountain circuit!
I am missing the LM24 in favour of the TT though!
You will be fine Martini - I am sure you will find a donkey with a spare hind leg for you to talk to....
:-)

the faces look rubbish

What happened to the bridge??
The marketing blurb that accompanies the release of the poster states "This poster defines an area of rich expression aimed at a wide-ranging public by projecting them into a powerful and attractive imaginary environment", apart from utter bull*hit, does the 'imaginary environment' also not have to reflect the history as well?

I guess it went the same way as the old logo - some 12 year old in the ACO marketing dept. decided they were not 'hip' enough ........ ::)
-
Looking at the sponsor logos across the bottom of the poster it appears that Dunlop have dropped out and Michelin are now in - makes sense therefore that the bridge has gone and the Michelin scoreboard is on there. (In fact no Dunlop logo or bridge for previous 2 posters as fas as I can see - last appeared in 2011).
ACO logo seems to have had quite a few variations even in the comparatively short time I have been following - always along the same lines but slightly changing.....

Good spot Fran - thinking about it, didn't Michelin sponsor the pit lane for the last few years too?

Not sure I know what you are trying to say there Fran... well I do know but cannot believe you said it in public. Most people see me as quiet and reserved, almost shy!
By the way that was very funny ;D

2007, one of the wetter Le Mans editions, we also had a wedding on thursday night :)
-
It just seems to lack any kind of drama. Perhaps that's how the race will pan out too.
Why they have a group of people that look like that bloke who used to be in Westlife, Cat Deeley, a young Tom Daley and Gareth Gates on the right and also a Stargate behind the timing board on the right, is quite beyond me!
-
In order to make it look more family friendly Gary. Looks very cheesy to me. I'd like to see the other race classes represented, not just LMP1. Oh, and while I've got my retro glasses on I'd like to see the old village back c/w the old champagne bar. What about the race positions announced every hour on the hour in English and commentary on the BBC World Service.

Yep 2008.
The only year with a White bar trailer ( other years black ).
400 orange caps, big stage, flying baguets, auction, vinnie's vice and a few beers.
Those where the days
-
And Holland beat France at footie.
