Intriguing - Could it possibly be the worst kept secret, that Nissan are to return to Le Mans with a works team???

Nissan powers all but four of the nineteen (roughly 80%) of the LM P2 grid, plus the 'Garage 56' entry, so it doesn't stretch the imagination too much to suppose they might make a return to the top proto class.

Didn't they already make a statement about a return to LMP1 in 2015 ?

So the announcement is an LMP1 version of their GTR race car for 2015 - LM and WEC.

No images yet.

Will be interesting to see how close an LMP1 car can be to the original GTR road car heritage. :D
