Hi Rhino,
lots of racing goes on in Florida starting late in the year and carries on through the winter. There are at least 2 very active vintage/historic/classic sports car groups. HSR is well established. Are you thinking of coming over or just curious? I expect there will be some very interesting cars with real pedigree and a bunch of not so famous cars from the period. I would expect some talented rich guys playing with expensive toys. a few "names will likely be there perhaps even driving but would not count on it. Then they shuffle off to Sebring a few weeks later.

Just curious Phil. Wonder what sort of crowd they expect, the tickets are $55 for a 3 day pass which is impressive.

Hi Rhino,
For the Rolex 24 even before Tudor they get very few. i used to joke that all the people in the stands I did not know were related to the drivers. The first 6 random people we asked....were related to drivers so I won that bet ( beer)
The 3 days of infield camping is very unusual usually only race night allows camping. I bet you could still find a second rate motel for $30 a night ;D
Weather is usually nice and some interesting cars would make it worthwhile if in the area.

The advantage of Daytona is; You can see the whole track from the grand stand ;D
