Is anyone else going to Goodwood Revival?
I'm there all three days - I might even try getting to the cricket match on the Thursday if I can "work from home".

I'll be there Saturday & Sunday (in a rather tight Merchant Navy Chief Engineer's jacket) ::)

It's a well known phenomenon that they shrink over time you know, just like RAF No1 jackets........ ;)

Yes they do!
Looks as though Saturday is already sold out (no tickets shown as available on the web site and only limited availability for Sunday. Good availability on Friday.

Yes, and my hat is a couple of sizes smaller? How did that happen?

Ah - that one's a combination of material shrinkage, and changes in hairstyle and of head shape from beating head against walls when frustrated......

Bugger. Clashes with my squadron's reunion that day to celebrate the 100th anniversay of its formation.....which is in London. I suspect not, but it'll be interesting to see if their flight path includes going overhead the city!

Just seen how much my tickets sell for on eBay/stubbhub. Wow. I would sell them and pay for my Le Mans 2016 trip.
I'm very tempted.

Seen those prices too.
I'm going to wait until a couple of days before and see if I can steal a couple from someone who's desperate to sell.
That said I'll buy any spare tickets for face value.
I'm not looking to rip anyone off but don't intend to get ripped off myself.

Although I will be there on Sunday anyone with a camera can they do me a favour. My son is in Air Cadets and will be part of the parade which we think is Sunday morning, will find out more Friday evening after they practice.
If anyone can get some pictures of the Air Cadets it would be most appreciated and worth a beer at some point!

Thanks. Went to the practice on Friday evening. There are at least 3 different Air Cadets squadrons involved and they will be part of the Battle of Britain celebration at 1.40pm. They will be marching from the direction of the shell building along the start finish straight carrying standards. They will then line up opposite the pits while the celebrations go on.
As the cadets are marching according to height, my lad is about 3/4 of the way along, although the cadets would be most grateful of any good pics.
Hopefully the marching will be a bit more coordinated and straighter than Friday. Goodwood looked good though, can't wait.

Hi!
The cadets came out on the startling side of me. I have some pictures, but alas they were facing away from me.

Thanks for trying. Had been told the shell building corner but that was for the jeeps. Thanks for keeping an eye out for them.

Cap duly doffed Sir, and toasted with Old Speckled hen by self, Woolly, Rex and Queen Vic. It was a fabulous and emotive display as the different sections took off, formed up and headed away to their own designated destinations to pay homage. We were pretty much on the threshold, so got some marvellous shots of them overhead at full chat.

Fantastic - many thanks for that - and I haven't forgotten rank tabs that are due for a certain young chap - will sort soon! While I missed it at Goodwood, getting to the squadron reunion at the RAF Club in London instead was simply bloody marvellous - many of us hadn't seen each otber for a about 30 years, so amongst a lot of ale a lot of catching up was done.
