Title: 2016 tickets
Post by: Pilgrim on September 24, 2015, 11:04:01 pm
Hello All.

Does anybody know when tickets for Le Mans 2016 are going on sale. Agents or the ACO, I'm not fussy.

Usually Beginning of November for Members, Mid November for Non-members
IIRC

But this is the ACO we are talking about remember.

ACO emailed out today.

The ticketing for the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours will open to the public in a couple of weeks, on Friday, 6th November 2015 at 10:00 AM (GMT).

Managed to login eventually this morning most camping tickets gone. System currently wont let ACO members book camping passes at reduced rate and only lets you purchase two GE tickets at reduced rate, what a pile of sh >:(t this continues to be you would think after 3 or is it 4 years of an online booking system they would have figured it out.

Not much hope for me then. Whilst Dad's an ACO member, I've got to book mine separately as we've a few cars going down and its going to be easier for me to sort my tickets separately (or not as Enzo's post suggests)

This is the major reason that I decided that another year of ACO membership at north of 100 euros was just not worth it any more. So, when my renewal came up last month, I didn't bother.

Instead, the money I've saved has been spent with a ticket agency to cover their face value mark up (they are, after all, a business).

At least this way, I get the tickets I want, without the major annual "the sites crashed, I can't log on, there's no tickets in the campsite I want" ACO on-line tickets sales trauma.

Sod em!

who have you booked with?

Dad has just booked Epinettes on the phone with ACO as Houx already sold out!! If its that bad for ACO members I'll stand no chance on Friday. All the agencies i've seen have ridiculous prices so it looks like our return to Le Mans is in jeopardy already  :'(

Managed to get logged on to the site but it wouldn't allow ACO discount. It said that there were 2 pitches left in Houx Annexe so brought one, but when I printed it, it doesn't have a pitch number. I thought Houx Annexe was numbered pitches, or does it have un-numbered as well.

Don't forget the annual 'Yes, you did order five camping permits in a block for Houx Annexe, but here's two for Mulsanne, two for Expo and one for Beausejour and none of them are on  connecting pitches.' experience.

Same here.  This year though, tickets for T34 were still sold in the shop at the museum during race week (when it was sold out online months before).

Just paid my deposit to Travel Destinations, sure it costs a bit more but what price an easy life and peace of mind?

Been watching the Ford GT 2016 video, on repeat, getting excited!  :D

The ACO site currently shows T34 available, but only "Access A", the one nearest Maison Blanche.
I wouldn't trust it until your order is confirmed.

Ron, Houx has both numbered and non-numbered.

Just received 2016's invoice from Team Langoustine for our pitches and grandstand seats.

Kind of beginning to feel real at last!

All repaired and rewired now with 'new improved' control system.

Not sure what the Classic camping plan is (that's Andy's department) - possibly with the Aston Martin Owners group.
