Just a reminder to anyone travelling down for the classic on the back roads route, that from 1st July French minor roads that used to have a speed limit of 90, now are limited to 80 (just under 50mph).

When I drove down for the 24, my sat nav ( Garmin ) was already showing the new speed limits on relevant stretches of road.
-
I drive a Land Rover - I'll be amazed if I hit 80kph on some of those roads...
-
My understanding is that this covers more than back roads.
The old N138 is included as are all the old route nationals.
If it's a single lane in each direction with no barrier in between then it's 80 kph.

Half of penisheads are already expressing the "I don't care I am English" card.
TBH I generally travel well below the limit anyway
