A quick check reveals that BF have put up the price of Pompey to Cherbourg by £5 each way, which is no biggy. However instead of a £40 deposit that I paid last year they now want £62.50.

New policy from BF. Now they take 25% of the booking price instead of a flat fee.

Booked Pompey to Le Harvre bring on 2019 :)

I too have booked. Out Sat 8th, Portsmouth St Malo... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
-
Looks like they want the balance earlier as well as the increased deposit.
9 weeks? Used to be less IIRC.

Just a thought for anyone heading out in early June via Portsmouth-Ouistreham;
Next year is the 75th anniversary of D Day, so whether getting in, around or through Ouistreham will be more difficult, I don't know. If there are VIP's there then security is likely to be increased etc.
-
Good point. We hit this years ago. I think that even el presidentey had gone, but there must have been some minor VIPs left. The Gendarmes just waved us down the main road out of town. And France is known for its consistency ;D ;D
-
Looks as though Ouistreham will be busy.
