Title: Tickets.
Post by: powerman on February 24, 2025, 11:31:28 am
Does anyone know when tickets will be issued for this year's race. I have usually received them by now.

Presuming you purchased them direct from the ACO, did you request printed tickets, or the new e-tickets that come via the, as yet non-existent, app?

I got my printed ones back last year.

From ACO today.

Regarding the App, that will be released within a month maximum, it will allow you to transfer tickets from your smartphone to others of course.
If you want all your tickets from all your bookings to be posted to you, we invite you to call us to pay the €35 DHL fees.

Good, that will give them 2 months to debug it before we start arriving!

I bought hard copy tickets (as I always do - and always will as long as I'm able to).

Ticketing app is now available in the App Store.
Astonishingly it seems to work in so much as I can see my tickets. Wether they will scan on the gate is another matter entirely.

Wondering if I should be worried that I can see my grandstand tickets in the app but not my GE tickets  ::)

Despite my other comedy post, don't worry, the digital download ones we had last year were combined, so just one ticket for entry and grandstand, so it's probably the same in the app?

Here's hoping  :)

I suspect they haven't been activated yet, and I am expecting too much.  It just causes a bit of a squeaky bum when you can clearly see your grandstand tickets and immediately underneath it reads, "Alone does not give access to the circuit."

I shall wait a while before I have a full on meltdown...

Seems to be the usual software release 1.0 hick-up! I have downloaded the app but can only see one ticket. 2 GEs and a Parking Arnage are missing.

Update: The Parking Arnage ticket is visible in the app now, 2 GE still missing. Seems to be some step-by-step data migration.

I'll hold off downloading it for a week or so, hopefully all the bugs will have been splatted by then and it may work .....

I have ordered paper tickets to be printed and sent out by DHL.

Given the organizers past performance is less useful than a marzipan dildo it is just not worth taking the risk!

Next update: All my tickets are visible now in the app. Next adventure: Transferring some of them to another person. Has someone already tried that?

Downloaded the ticket app after receiving notification from the ACO that ONE of our tickets is now available (Expo) but still no sign yet of our GE or grandstand tix that are bought and paid for. Was dubious about yet another app from the ACO and was not surprised to have to enter all my details yet again (when will they learn to integrate their membership and other contact info???🤷) but it seems to work....so far!

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the rest to come through.......

I think that the transfer of tickets went pretty smoothly.

Chris24 did ask me if we needed Mobile Data for the App.  So I asked the ACO and the Reply was:-

The Mobile App works offline (not on flight mode though) so your tickets can be scanned as long as the QR codes are imported. They will be available a few weeks/days before the event.
Please note that we provide a free wifi network on the circuit too.

We also have Ticketing Customer Service desks at the East and North gates if you have any problem.

Has anybody sold their tickets through the resale site?
If so how was your refund handled?
Back to the original payment card or by another method?

Can't find my refund anywhere at the moment!

Sold some tickets a couple of weeks ago, money was refunded to the payment card, took about 3 days to show up.
The wording on the ACO email is rather confusing!

Resale site look to be closed now. I have a now unneeded full week GA if anyone wants it - digital ticket so need to have the ACO app installed for it to be transferred.

Exactly the same for me.

Having just returned to Mulsanne base camp after a day around the circuit I can report that all ticketing apps worked seamlessly!
