Title: Flame Warriors
Post by: Andy Zarse on February 12, 2004, 02:13:41 pm
Someone sent me this link. A Flame Warrior is a deliberately antagonistic contributor to a forum.

http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame1.html

How many of our members can you spot?

Easy to find Smokie, (obviously I'm not suggesting he's antagonistic, but he does pick upthe pieces of our occasional rows) and there is definitly Harper M on there too. Can you spot him?

Oh, right. Thanks for that Andy. What happened to, "Let he without sin cast the first stone".
You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, I talk too much. I also listen too much. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you.... but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. You can say what you like about me; I'm not changing. Me..... I like me. My wife likes me. My customers like me. 'Cause with me, I'm the real article. What you see is what you get.

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of.

I had no idea this forum business was so complicate.  Can't we just be ourselves?    Please  :-*

Or does that put me in a category?   :)

Hmmm. I think you're right. You should have seen some of the stuff he put on the old forum years ago. Ask him about his Daisy Duke outfit. And do you know about Raoul who he used to take to Le Mans with him?

Now then Andy, I've heard of Raoul, but I really don't know any details.  I suspect that Paula could cast some light on that one.  ;D  ;D

Gibber,

Put simply, if this is possible, Raoul is (was?) a gay Brazillian dwarf who used to hide in the boot of H's Jag and be smuggled past security. I don't think he had a passport, he was too short to have his photo taken in the booth.

Anyway he used to perform terrible sexually degrading acts upon poor H, once involving an angle grinder I seem to remember. Raoul has been missing now for a couple of years. The police investigated, H was interviewed, but nothing could be proved. No corpse has ever been found. There have been sightings rumoured, once lurking around at the back dressed as a 1960's racing driver after the Royal Varirty Command Performance, but he is our own Lord Lucan and not mentioned in polite circles.

I can't tell you any more, I know nothing. Zip! Nadda! Zilch!

Hmm, and there was me, trying to be pithy. I presume that only a few of you are familiar with the God-like work of John Candy.
I would have dismissed the subsequent purile utterings with contempt, only I don't know what the plural of ignoramus is.
Andy, your mischief is boundless, Gibb, don't take things quite so literally, Russ, go f**k yourself.

Planes Trains and Automobiles, Matt? I like the bit where the cop stops Candy in the burnt out, smashed up wreck of a hire car and asks him if he thinks it's roadworthy. "Yes" replies Candy, "Yes, I truly believe it is. I truly do". Genius.

I was going to use the evil clown thang, but thought I'd leave it to some other poor soul to bring up.... :-X ;D

Sorry Russ! ;)

Lads,
Apologies for my absence, and also my absess which has turned rather ugly, but I'm skimming on the surface of the real world right now, and just managed a quick log-in.

You tw*ts!!

Where am I going to get a new set of trousers this time of night without arousing serious suspicions and the ugly head of sex amongst the locals? Not to mention my pants.

I have never, ever, known anyone named Raoul. Apart from.....oh God, it's so sad. It's springtime now, and new shoots are springing forth in the garden. Terrible, terrible shoots...
