There is a conspiracy afoot....
On the Le Mans weekend this year there is a Grand Prix, a round of WRC, and also to top it off, BTCC too. Gits.... There was me wanting a nice weekend away >:(
Anyway... is there access to a PC with the internet that I can make use of for around 30 - 60 minutes later on on the Sunday?
I may be able to wait until I get home, but would be late on Monday PM if I wait til I get home, I'll be knackered from the week and the journey, and would really like to update the Fantasy leagues before then.

You forgot the 24 Hours of the Nuerburgring. That's where it really becomes a pain in the arse. :-\ ::)
Was it last year when there was a wireless LAN station something on one of the camping grounds. I can't remember where it was. Alternatively, maybe Rickmeister can help as with a press pass he will have access to the media centre and they have internet access there.

DR , you should know that the BTCC meeting is a NON CHAMPIONSHIP event. Which is why i wont be watching my sponsored cars.
I will though have SKY TV will the full package provided that Mr Brown can find a signal.

Robbo - Like the sound of that!!! May have to pop round with a case or two of beer for that one? :o The non-championship round of the BTCC is the British GP one, which doesnt clash with LM?
HGB - This will start the conversations about WI-FI hotspots again wont it ;D I could always try and blagg a laptop from somewhere ;)

Whoops - July not June . But you are only missing the Mondello park round.

DR, my wife has a bit of software that broadcasts / scans to find unsecured wirelass LANs. All you need is a laptop with a wireless card.
She was quite amazed on a recent rail journey from London to home how many wireless LANs she could receive from the train - and most of them were unsecured and hence available to anyone.
I'm sure if you wander around the village area you may pick something up.
-
What was the name of the software for picking up wireless lans?
I was planning on taking advantage of the promise of wifi last year, but our car broke down in the south of France, after Monaco GP 8), forcing us to spend another week on the Med & a 12 hour drive back to Le Mans for the last 8 hours or so of the race :'( So never got a chance to try out the rumoured WiFi on one of the campsites.

That bit of software would be VERY useful!
How/where (ftp or http) is the download?
-
Would be very interested in it as well, I already have the laptop with wireless card, which'll be going with me anyway ;) :)

It's called Network Stumbler and the 290 kb download is available here http://www.netstumbler.com/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=1&orderby=hitsD (http://www.netstumbler.com/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=1&orderby=hitsD)
Happy hunting

Couldn't find the WiFi last year from MB

Unfortunately I don't take my lappy with me anymore and updating is done as a "retrospective" these days. I concentrate on snapping the pretty cars with my ageing Canon (dinosaur film body) and doing the editorials when I get home to the warm comfort of the little cupboard I call my office.
Otherwise I would love to have helped! Honest Guv!
