How far apart are the water stand pipes on MB . I can just about remember that the Euro's have different sizes for the Fawcet adaptors but wasnt sure if i needed 30 / 50 or 60 metres of good old garden hose.

Ours is in our front garden. We let others use it though.
Was memorable when three guys came along during our breakfast one day to shower under it. They did it au nature. One of 'em was hung like a horse. Quite put me off my saucisse

Also recall one kind gent (called Keith I think) fitted a spliter device so we could have a permanent feed and avoid putting Smokie off his tea...I'm going to see if I can get one a la B&Q...I carry 2 x 50m lengths with a connector as standard, but think you would be unlucky to be over 100m away from a pipe?

So they use the same adaptors ????

Yes they use the standard outside tap adapters.

Last time I went, I went to the local DIY store and brought a camping shower kit, including a hose, adaptor, stand and shower head for the expensive cost of £10.
Set it up at MB campsite and had great showers, cold but great. Still have it and will be taking it again this year.
The local DIY store is castorama. For map see -

Tha Castorama is on the other side of the road from the Auchan before Le Mans

What a stupid suggestion !!!! :o
What about Leroy Merlin which is quite bigger than Castorama and quite nearer within a walking/cycling distance from any campsite ... Maybe you'll see the race from their car park .

Gilles,
Maybe not so stoopid as you think. The UK is north of France, so most Brits have to drive past the Castorama. It is much easier to drop by there and pick up your gear rather than set up camp and drive near to the curcuit with all the traffic etc.
BTW isn't the Castorama the place they sell all those little wheels that go on the bottom of sofa's etc. ;D ???
