Sorry about that chaps! Disappearing up my own arse with self-importance I feel!!
However, the good Count & Countess were kind enough to extend me their fine hospitality and rave about it I shall!!!
Let's face it, the sleeping arrangements were the back of the 806 until the Thursday before testing.
The place is gorgeous and a perfect place to impress any of our "better" halves, or whichever wench we are trying to impress. Real history here.
Please, no more mention of "Lord", just plain "Sir" will do in future!!

It would have been rude to decline their kind offer!
As for Lord Charles, I remember him too, but I never found him that funny. The big 4-0h is fast approaching for me too. Frightening particularly as I still have a mental age of 15.

Be sure to be at the head of the queue as the Sat a.m. hose down is getting more popular every year and is sure to be outlawed soon.
Actually, the Monday lunchtime version is worse as there are so few people around it gets more graphic! Maybe that's really why the gippos come back every year ...

Although in fairness, given the recent form etc. you have good grounds for your reasoned analysis and fair play to you for I feel those good fellows at Mr. William Hill's emporium in town agree with you.
But I will still wear the colours with pride (and desperate hope!) on Sunday.
Whether "Shep celebrating" is still my chosen image on Monday, only time will tell!!

I'm driving to the match so any crying into my own beer will have to be done on my return to the Flatlands on Sunday night.
Nice to be the underdogs these days in a strange sort of way .. it was always boring (NOT!) when we won everything!! I remember the days etc........... ;D

Bad luck but outplayed imo. Wasps were pretty awsome.

To be expected I guess, always chasing the game after that 3 try burst in the first half though. Still, a good day out and an excuse to introduce my 5 year old son to the game other than a little run out for Bourne RFC!
Nearly time to focus on the upcoming event, but first a trip to Madrid, but without staying in a chateau this time ;)

As for any Bentley supporters, you are safe. My faves for this year are the #23 Team Bucknum Racing Pilbeam and the #11 Panoz with Gunnar Jeannette. Purely personal reasons but at least that paves the way for the "Green Audis" to wave the flag for Anglo-German relations!! I mean, did anyone overhear any Bentley mechanics at testing? Purlease!! What does "das ist einen super Schwantz" mean anyway?

When I was in Austria in March, a popular song in the bars and clubs was sung by some bird and the chorus was about her desire for "Schwanzig Centimeter". Perhaps she was a Bentley mechanic too!

Well last time I heard the phrase was some enthusiastic young lady to a certain John Holmes .. I'm sure that's what the mechanic said anyway (not to me I hasten to add!)
