Is anyone getting th 0730 from Newhaven to Dieppe on the Saturday morning?
I'd like to try drive down to the race with someone who knows where they're going if possible.

Check this thread for people's travel details.... I was intending (and maybe still will) typing this info into a document, but the thread is turning out very well so I may not bother - being short of time etc etc...

The Roeun route is fairly easy as long as you don't miss the turning in Rouen itself! Mind you I now know Rouen very well, having driven though it countless times! By now they must have finished the roadworks on the road out surely? Sure they have been ongoing for 3 years!
However the traffic in Rouen can be awful!

As of PQ last month, there wasn't any road works in and around Rouen. We flew through the tunnel and all seems to be reasonably easy out the other side to the south.
However, there are road works around Bernay / Broglie etc to what seems to be a new dual carriageway being built alongside the N138 in that area?
Returning from PQ we were held up as they surfaced a road intersection.
They appear to have built the road bridges for the N138 over this new road first so that they can divert traffic on these whilst they continue with the new road.
Hopefully, these bridges will be in use come June.

Going from Dieppe to Le Mans, it is possible to avoid Rouen and take in some cracking roads at the same time.
on the way to rouen if you detour at Yvetot and head south, you will cross the Seine furthur west and you can rejoin the normal route at Bourg-Achard.

Some of our guys may be coming that way this year and are looking to go off the beaten track. Have you got any more details Nordic?? :)

Coming from dieppe toward Rouen you will (hopefully) be on the N27, near a village called Totes you take the N29 and head west towards Yerville
Then, head to Yvetot,
From Yvetot
Take the D131 [3.5 miles]
Carry on the D490 [8.5 miles]
go over the bridge called the 'Pont de Brotonne'
Carry on the D913 [4.3 miles]
Carry on the D313 [8.8 miles]
in the direction of D313
'Bourg-Achard,Elbeuf,Bourgtheroulde-Infreville'
via Bourg-Achard
via Thuit-Hébert
In Bourgtheroulde-Infreville Go through the Route d'Elbeuf and turn right on the :) N138 :)
you will now be at Brionne on the normal route. Its about 30 miles and should take about an hour.
If that not clear ??? have a look at www.mappy.com , you should be able to plot the route from Yvetot to Brionne there.

Thanks Nordic, I'll pass it on to the guys.
