Feel free to post your single best picture in this thread. Stu and Rick are trying to get a site going, but it will take a few days. I will update this thread with progress, for the time being just one pic please.
Here's mine. It's called Morning Assembly, and it's the last time the pipework was properly clear... You can see the Shitehouse family camper next to the suck truck...
Err...sorry it's a little wider than the screen, will fix tomorrow...

I have some good news and some bad news for you. As I suspected during the weekend but was not too sure. I managed to put the same roll of film through my camera twice. This film just happened to be the film that I took the group Club Arnage pictures on at the Shampoo bar gathering. Sorry guys ! However, now for the good news, The group shots of us lot at the shampoo bar just happen to be double exposed with shots of the Hawaiian Tropics girls in their bikini's ! Will post a shot later, but in the mean time I managed to accidentally get this cracking shot on the double exposed film ! And i really like it !
-
Double exposed? Are you sure it is only double? ::)
Bartus(who thought he saw a GT 40 on the picture as well)

There:
-
what a great position. You should have tried a longer exposure and got the strem of car lights. How did you get up there?
-
A truly magnificent picture mgb. Same question as lemans sps. How DID you get up there?
-
Another attempt
-
A Herbert's eye view... :o
-
That cockpit photo was not taken at Le Mans - it was taken in Milton Keynes - you didn't even go this year Russ,,,,
You can't surrogate yourself onto the "Best Photo" Thread by adding an after-the-fact photo!!!!
-
no cup holders on this years model then?
-
Damm, having trouble with pics!
-
no cup holders on this years model then?
Yes, two cup holders placed just over the drivers right shoulder... ;D

I think it's up for the contest. It's this year's Audi after all and I suppose not many had a chance to look at the world from the LM car seat perspective... I had a Nissan R390 (1997) at my disposal for a WHOLE WEEK some time back in 1999 and I didn't bother because I wasn't interested in LM then. Maybe I should post it together with Chris24 at Dumb Bastard Award thread... ???
-
How about this one than? This is what she did after my question: "How was I last night? "

Thanx

With any grandstand ticket, you can get up there (on top of the ACO block at the exit to the pit lane) after 6.00pm on Saturday. I spent quite a bit of time up there at night and Sunday morning. Great view.

-
Thanks Del. Sounds like a good reason to get a grandstand ticket. :)
-
Thanks for the comments guys - I do have a couple of longer exposed pics with the headlights streaking by which I'll post when I get home. Unfortunately I didn't have a tripod with me, and my hand was ever so slightly unsteady at that hour of the morning (and after several café cognacs in the bar), so they're not quite as sharp.
How did I get there? Easy really. "There" is the tower in the Welcome enclosure. How is by buying a ticket to the spectators enclosure for 19 Euros.
We couldn't get in to the spectators enclosure before 6pm having bought the ticket trackside, but after that it was fine. Before 6 we could still get to the bar, and nice clean toilets though - that part of the Welcome has become public. They also seemed to be the only place in the circuit still selling cigarettes (under the counter), which was a blessed relief!
The viewpoint from ground level was ok - above the fence too, so I got a couple of 'clean' pics of the cars from there. Seemed you could go on to the top of the tower pretty much any time apart from the last hour or so of the race (and it was re-opened again at 4:01), and to top it all off, they opened the gates to the circuit once the cars were in parc fermé so we didn't have to climb over anything to get onto the track ;D
Highly recommended, even if you can't get right up next to the pit-lane exit like you could in the 80s...

Some more from the Welcome enclosure...

How the hell did you get the motorhome on to welcome centre terrace? Admission is difficult enough for those on foot judging by postings to another thread :) I think we should be told............
-
Raceshot clearly said it was difficult. I guess he won't tell us the trick. The ACO would get furious. ;D
-
Nice pic Raceshot ;D Makes me think what mine could have been like if I'd been more sober (or remembered to bring the tripod with me at all) ;)

I thought everybody loves the shitehouse pipe
