I hereby give prior warning to Gib and Rick that the drive to the Classic will be a Who-fest.

FS - Arent you taking the dancing pony ?
Surely thats the only music you need ?
If not most Ferrair drivers have music like.
Bros
Brother Beyond
Wham
etc etc .
Or for a walk on the wild side -
Salt n Pepa

OK, I've got hold of a Cheggers Plays Pop. Do we really need anything else??
Like Robbo says, won't the sound of the Spider be all we need?? Otherwise I'm still playing Gary Moore's album all the time at the moment.
-
CD player on the way down to Le Mans ?
Now that is a luxury, we only have a crap old cassette player in the mini bus we hire !
Anyway, Top Gun sound track always goes down well ! As does Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction (As loud as you get get the stereo to go without blowing the speakers )
-
My taste are similar to the Stig, Val Donagoon and Jimes Reeves to name some of the great compilation albums i have. All down mixed from the original eight track recordings.
-
sh*t, I feel sorry for Mark :'(

Don't forget your Rolf Harris and SingalongaMax with a little \'Russ Conway Plays Pop' if it all gets too heavy.

Rusty,
Equally don't forget the "Central Band of the Royal Air Force plays military classics". Ideal to restore appropriate gravitas to any situation (unless it's the Dambusters on a Friday night.... ;D )

How about these for easy listenin' drivel:
Milligan and Nesbit
Peters and Lee
Conway Twitty
The Wurzels
-
Steve, Gibb I could always sing all the way and back from the classic.

Well,
What can I say?! Except maybe:
Sergio Mendez/Chelsea Morning
Honeybus/I Can't Let Maggie Go
Jose Feliciano/Light My Fire
Girl In a Sportscar
Jack Jones/Wives and Lovers
Anything by Percy Faith or Tony Hatch and his Orchestra
The World Of Tijuana and The Mexicans/A taste of Honey (or Spanish Flea)
Bert Kaempfert/A Swinging Safari
Tony Christie/Avenues and Alleyways
And if that lot doesn't get your slippers warmed and your chair rocked, then maybe it's time to say goodbye to life in the fast lane....

Actually,
If the standard de-fib procedure doesn't bring you back from the flatlining experienced earlier, it has just occurred to me that a damn fine band to drive to would be The Peatbog Faeries, sadly no longer with us.
To resist nailing the throttle and grinning insanely, even in your Mums Micra, would be pretty damn difficult.
The lads produced two Albums, Mellowosity and Faerie Stories, and marvellous they are too. The Folk Police on Faerie Stories contains a virtuoso bagpipe/synth performance that negates the use of caffeine or any stimulants.
Maybe James-Jay-Jimbob-Jimmy The Tyre Burning Chemist From Kilmarnock is gracing his decks with them now?

I like the music of Half Man Half Biscuit. Particularly their top track "99% of all known gargoyles look like Bob Todd".
Ivor Cutler is another favourite, you can't beat an album called Jammy Smears which contains variously Bicarbonate of Chicken and Fistyman.
-
"Faster" music and lyrics by George Harrison, in memory of Ronnie Peterson. Nuff said...

my dear ole muckers, listening to the engine is great when we moving up through the gears and maybe bimbling through villages. However once on the move Mr Doppler takes over and we are in front of the sound wave, in the cone of silence, hence the music. Come on club arnages lets have some more music suggestions.
-
Right then, these may not be to everyone's taste, but it's driving music all the same:
Stevie Ray Vaughan
AC~DC
Leftfield - Rhythm and Strength/Leftfield
Prodigy
Extreme - Waiting for the Punchline
Muse - Absolution
Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving
oh, and if you're in the 'Zarsemobile':
Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson (they came down from west sussex in a burnt out commer van etc)
Bob Marley
Hendrix
etc
-
M Mason Esq
Faithless - currently going around in the cd player
AC/DC (Bonn Scott days)
Motorhead
Faith No More

Very good Mark ;D IOW was very good, but a little too much rain.

I must say I was thinking of you when I was rained off the golf course at Littlehampton during your first week away.
Still, here's hoping things are on the way back to how they should be in July!! 30 degrees predicted for Le Mans for Friday onwards. Chance of a shower on Sunday though.
See you Friday!!!!!
