Some pictures...

The winning BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari 550 with Cappellari, Gollin, Calderari and Bryner at the wheel (not all at the same time, though). Lillian Bryner is said to be the first woman who ever finished a major international endurance race. Truely, she's a woman with nuts like bowling balls. The BMS car managed to do 558 laps which is a new record.

The second placed Ferrari 575 of GPC Squadra Corse (Peter, Babini, Vosse, Salo) was just 1 lap down to the winner.

3, 4 and 5 went to Freisinger. This is the 3rd placed no 50 with Ortelli, Dumas and Collard.

FIA-GT endurance (6++ hours) races are getting a bit boring. It's Ferrari in GT and Porsche in NGT. I had a discussion with a couple of guys and we agreed on one cure: There are only 5 cars of one type allowed (e.g. just 5 Ferrari 550). Every additionally entered car of that type gets a penalty of 25 kilos per car, first come, first serve. A sixt entered Ferrari 550 would get a bit of extra weight. Why, I hear you ask. It's to ensure a certain variety which is lacking at the moment. Apart from that it was a top notch weekend in the Belgian Ardennes. I even burned my skin.  ;D Silverstone, here we come...

Just to add one thing: Before the start of the race the organisers asked the audiance for a minute of silence for the victims of the horrible explosion which happened near Brussels on Friday. I found that a very good gesture which stuck in my mind. Here's the start.

The Vitaphone soon went into the lead, just before Les Combes actually.
The picture was taken from the grand stand at Eau Rouge/Raidillon. It's a temporarily grand stand for the FIA-GT race and F1.
I have a couple of night shots but I'm not good at that, censorship kicks in.  ;D

And the forth placed no 77. The car had a H gearbox instead of the sequential which is state of the art. Vasiliev finds the H gearbox easier.

Eh... not quite right... still, you get it. It's too early for me. ;D

My favorite of the weekend. The camping ground field at 2:00 with the moon at full glow. The light helped a lot while erecting the tent. Without it it would have been pitch black.
