Hi,
For anyone that has borrowed or copied the Audi Veloqx DVD that we are passing around between us. If you are interested, I have made a DVD cover for it to suit a regular size DVD case. Looks pretty damn good if I say so myself.
If anyone wants one, just e mail me your return e mail address to csc24@blueyonder.co.uk and I will e mail you back the full size jpeg to print off on your own printer.
Regards
Chris

Bah,
Just as I was going to take the credit again....... thanks for that Barry.
It wasn't too difficult and, if anything else comes up on TV in a similar vein then I will not hesitate to do it again.

Pretzel - what s/w do you use to edit the breaks and commercials? I'm a newbie at this stuff

Smokie,
I have a DVD recorder (Pioneer) with a hard disk drive as well as DVD burner.
I simply recorded all of the programmes on to the hard drive then, with in built editing facilities, simply delete the sequences that contain the adverts then tell it to stitch the remainder together and burn them to DVD. It's quite simple really, with very intuitive menus to help guide me through the process. Much easier than doing it on a PC I suspect!!
It wasn't particularly cheap and, as with all electronic consumer goods, has already been superceded. But i'd recemmend it to anyone looking to replace that old video recorder.

TiVo replaced my video 2 years ago. www.tivo.com. Unfortunately Thompson pulled out of the UK market so there will be no new TiVo hardware in the UK. (TiVo is like SkyPlus but a tonne better with better electronic programme guide and also it does predictive recording - recording things it *thinks* you might like, based on things you have previously asked it to record.)
However, there is a thriving community of hackers, and with their help, and a network card, I can now programme my TV recorder from any internet connection, and manage recordings! ;D
I recently discovered I can extract video from it to my PC which I can put onto DVD, hence the question. Thanks for the info.
