-
I'll have one.
How big are they?
-
What's the logo on them? A simple Club Arnage?
-
One for me please
DB
-
I will have one, may I suggest the simple club Arnage logo as at the top left of this page? With the circles would give it about the right proportions, but without the chequered background. White on blue?
-
Count me in as well
-
Robbo - will they print the design both sides or will one side be (reversed) back to front? I had this problem with the BM flag last year - 2 sided jobs v.expensive, so expect it's printed one side but kind of see through material if that makes sense?
-
Ill have one please.
-
Yes please Robbo!! :D
-
Yes please robbo!! go nicely next to my two NEW 2005 t-shirts ;D ;D
-
Put me dowm for one if you go ahead.
-
Dont forget me!!!
-
i'd love one but the wife went bastard ape sh*t over three tee shirts this afternoon
so i'll pass thanks
>:( :(
-
Flags are great cept ....... most flags, unless they look the same from both sides, like flags of most countries, can only be read from one side. If you make them double sided, then they may be too heavy to wave.
-
I'll have one
-
Are they single sided or double sided Robbo??
I'll have one either way.......just curious! ;D
Do you know if they would do one offs, or possibly a couple. Obviously would be more expensive per unit, but we're still trying to get a couple of Team JPC ones at a reasonable price.
Can you PM me their contact details please.
-
They are single sised and the image will look like like this attached.
11 orders so far, 19 to go.
Jp try :

Cheers Robbo!!
-
Oh yes, I'll have one if you let me ;) A tenner is fine by me.
jpchenet, didn't you get my return, or are you still seaching for the right file?
By the way, I'm going to MB on Good Friday (March 25th) to have a proper look. Any area you guys want me to have a look and take pictures of?
-
Hi Paddy
It's being worked on as we speak!!! :)
-
good going, I'll look out for it :)
-
Include me on the list, please Robbo ;) what size are they, as a matter of interest ;)
-
Can i have a flag too please? ... now i started posting might as well make it official!
Wouldnt mind a dark blue polo (L) if u put another order in at some stage too - was too late for your first call for orders. :(
-
You can put me down for 2 please.
And Fran, surely a golf would be better than a polo! Failing that save up for a nice secondhand ferrari ;D
-
Oh good I see Rick's got one on order.... carry on ;D
-
"save up" Mr Insivible??? Can you explain how that works?
-
Okay Robbo, let's speed things up a little, I'll have two for up the scaffolding. That brings your total half way the aim.
What if you will only need 20, how will the costs work out, 15 or 20 each?
-
We are up to 17, only a few more then we are done.
I will ask about the lower numbers.
-

I guess if 30 cost £275, then if we only have 20 buyers we still get the 30 and pay £275, which works out at £13.75 each and we have 10 spares that can be sold at a later date. Funds from these could either be split between the original purchasers, or be put towards a few bottles of 'poo on Saturday night! Or maybe several cases of beer for a get together one night??
I tried to contact them and ask for prices on small numbers for our group but they haven't replied yet!!! :'(
-
The Liverpool Boys, will take one it will look good in this years laser strobe light extraveganza
-
Any chance we can get them before Sebring?? ;) ::)

don't worry about P&P, I can transfer via PayPal and maybe jpchenet can bring my flags to Spa / LeMans :)
-
"save up" Mr Insivible??? Can you explain how that works?
Oops. Sorry Fran, I wasn't thinking. It means that you would have to curtail some of your evening and weekend social life for a few months. And to fore-go all those wonderful designer numbers you have in your wardrobe.
Alternately, you could marry one of the single members from this site, and then divorce them after a few months. However, I believe that in order to really benefit from this method, that the marriage would need to be consummated. :o
Hope that helps explain the concept. ;D
-
30 flags are the lowest amount they will generate a print run from !!
No chance for Sebring.
If anyone else wants one, put youre name on the thread. I am off to Hong Kong for a while and will update when i return.
Hopefully we will have nearly 30 orders by then !!
-
don't forget this thread guys!

Mr Invisible!!!!
I have just returned from a brief holiday in the sunshine and find myself absolutely horrified by all of the suggestions for saving that you have put forward. This clearly hasnt been thought out properly....
Fran
-
I'll take one Robbo
-
I could do with a flag, oh and a polo shirt and Tshirt. Really must get more organised for the year, although have now paid for my camping etc, so at least thats sorted!
I'd best email Robbo when I get home!
-
Yep count me in please...... Ill have one ...... ;D

Fran
Well what do you expect? You started it with a silly question. Everybody knows it is impossible to explain the merits/benefits of saving to a woman. :-*
Mr. I
-
As everybody seems euphoric and all keen for the LM trip to start, I thought I would bump this back to the top.
-
Good going, Mr Invisible.
Last time I kicked this topic back up where it matters, there were another three flags ordered.
Keep those orders coming in, otherwise ours are only gonna be more expensive!!
-
I'll have one as well please
Jem
-
Ok, after Jem thats 22 flags. I am pretty sure that they should fold nicely into an envelope and go first class.
Only 6 more orders then i will get them, but will hopefully sell the other 2 at le mans.
-
Robbo make my order 2 flags please. When will you what monies?
-
Yes please Robbo
Lord Steve
-
Put me down for one.
Can you get them printed in luminous paint to aid the stagger back to the campsite ;D
-
Ok, just 2 more flags, then we can order
If we sell all of them for the 275, and everyone pays £10 each, the small amount left will payfor a stamp for delivery ??
Or collection from Portsmouth Docks
-
Can I Have one flag too; or is it too late?
-
Hi Robbo,
I'll take one please. Are we there yet ???
Canada Phil
-
I think that's the 28 needed needed isn't it Robbo? If so, I'll take one more please so we can start to cover the P&P!!
-
:)Yes Please, Let me know how to get you the loot,
Also I am looking for Aston merch any ideas, there's precious little on their site?

There were Aston t-shirts, shirts, polos and baseball caps in Sebring. Apparently flags weren't ready on time.
I think after their success last week, they will kick themsleves into gear and ensure they have plenty at Le Mans.

Bloody thievin, robbin, effin Post Office >:(
I posted mine first class on Saturday morning. Bank Holiday monday aside, it should still have reached you today. Can you wonder why people don't use the Post Office. I might just as well have posted it second class and saved a few pence :-[
-
Posted mine Sunday so was expecting it to be there today!
What concerns me even more is I posted my mums birthday cards on Saturday morning for them to get to her today and when I spoke to her this morning she still hadn't had the post for today. Better phone her again to check!
-
i work as a postie on sat mornins, n on rounds that i cover people often ask me why they arent getting their post until as late as 9pm durin the week!!!

My cheque for flag is on its way too!
Now i will need to find a suitable flagpole.....
Fran
-
Fran, try one of those tubular fibe glass expanding fishing pole / flag poles that pop up on *bay - or they're sold in Carrefour.
-
Now i will need to find a suitable flagpole.....
Fran
Fran
Try these:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Skyblue-Leisure_W0QQssPageNameZl2QQtZkm
then click on 'Telescopic Poles'
Almost any size you want
DB
-
I know time has been covered before, by if you get time to drop in to a hyper market you can get Roach poles for a few euros I bought a 5m one for 6.5 euros in Archan, I dont think I will be using the thinest section though, but 4m is 12 ft.
-
Well as i now have a car with a proper boot (tho sadly not a boot with a proper car! ::) ) i can travel in comfort with all the mod cons my lil heart desires........ adding flag pole to packing list now!
Fran
-
Hmm, the flag pole...
So we have this scaffolding planned, about 4,5 metres high. On each corner there is gonna be an aluminium pole of about 4 metres high. On one of those poles I will attach a 9 metre fishing rod.
So if this works out good I'll have a flag pole of 18 metres, is that gonna be a winner? ;D

Hmmmm, maybe?!?! ;) But there is the crowd on Houx Annexe every year who chop a tree down and use that!! :o

Sounds easier to use a scaffolding ;D

Exactly!!! Surely you must be going for a flag pole on each corner though Paddy??
-
Surely you must be going for a flag pole on each corner though Paddy??
Exactly! With lights to match. Things are starting to get shape, especially after being convinced our current plan is the one to go for.
Did you see the picture of MB you wanted? I thought you wanted to see this>>
(http://server2.uploadit.org/files/lemans-jpchenet.jpg)
-
That's the spot we're hoping for!!!! Thanks Paddy. You didn't by any chance measure the distance for me from the trees on the right to the edge of the path/road did you?
-
You didn't by any chance measure the distance for me from the trees on the right to the edge of the path/road did you?
I'd say the whith would be an absolute maximum of 15 metres. Ain't never gonna be 25 metres. But the 75 metres in length could be closer.
Here's the same spot from a different angle>>
(http://server3.uploadit.org/files/PaddyLM-MBlanche.jpg)
-
If my memory serves me right, there will be a fence (temporary) to the right of that picture during the race, which is where "camping maison blanche" actually starts.
The left hand side of the above picture, is where all the hospitality tents are erected. From there down to the MB grandstand.
-
Mr Invisible, so you're basicly telling me and jpchenet bad news?
-
Don't panic. The temporary fence is set up right next to the road entrance which is next to the toilet block. This is the flat roofed cream coloured building in the first of the two shots. :)
-
Aha, but if we look back at the arial picture posted by Big H (talking of whom, he has been a bit quiet recently. Do hope he is OK) earlier this year, I think you will see the full perspectave. You can even make out that "doughnut" you were asking about in another thread.
As you can see, that flat topped building is actually further away from the entrance than you realise, and is not the shower block :(
-
I think you're right Mr I!!!! I had assumed Paddy had taken the first picture inside the MB camping area and that the trees and bank were those at the right hand side of BigH's picture.
Paddy, please confirm that the second picture you showed was in fact taken from just inside the road entrance and that the toilets/showers were on your immediate left.
If so, this is where Motorhomes park up and I don't know if they'll let you put your van and construction there.
-
19 Paid for including Canada Phil who has paid in Euro's !! ;)
Only 11 left to pay for.
For those who mention shirts and other stuff, please include the dosh with your flag money and i will send it all together.

Still waiting for a few more bits of money ??
-
Come on you people with their names in red!!!! Robbo isn't a charity, he does this out of a gesture of good will and shouldn't have to wait for your payments!
Robbo, if the five offendees haven't paid by Monday I'll stump up the remaining £50 to get the order placed and we can sell them at Le Mans in June, I'm sure they'll sell!!!
-
JP i'll have a flag from you, one down four to go.
-
ROBBO Cheque went in the post have you recieved it??? It has not been cashed.
I will attempt PayPal if you have not recieved. Will also have two more T-shirts from you but have to check sizes.
-
Tried the on line thingy but it kept telling me that my time was up. You may get 2 extra payments from me if it worked without telling me so cheque in the post tonight first class
-
Rick - No i havent seen any of your money.
John Mr 7
Our site has had a few issues in the last week, so it could be related. Cheque from you at late notice is still good.
-
After re-reading JP's post....
I have made a decision.
If the money hasnt been recieved by Monday ( when my cheque will have been cashed for the order ) I shall re-sell the flags.
I havent the time or effort for the next month to chase people for money when they want the goods.
I know Ferrari Spider is good for the money so ... Get the dosh over, or he gets the flag.
If you dont like this. TOUGH. I dont make any money from this, nor does CA.
-
Cheeers Robbo. Promise not to let you down, cheque went first class from North Shields last night. Working away at the moment so things are a little disjointed :-[
-
If you dont like this. TOUGH. I dont make any money from this, nor does CA.
Well said Robbo.
I suggest that with any future orders for merchandise, monies to be paid at the time of ordering.
The cheques could be paid into your account until the supplyer needed payment, any interest accrued would help to reiburse you for your time and effort.
-

Just had a final confiramtion about the flags.
They will have grommet holes so its easy to attach to a pole
And the artwork sent to me indicated the final product will look like this.
Hope you like them.

What is all this talk of flags? Have I missed something? ???

Looks good, Robbo!! (http://smile.smilies.nl/353.gif)

sh*t, went out weekend and paid £4.85 for eyelets to put in my flag and now you tell me they they are already in them.
Cheap eyelets unused anyone?
The flags do look good, well done Robbo.
-
Lovely jubbly....they look cool......Well done that man ;D
-
Are the eyelets on both sides of the flag Robbo??????
Shouldn't they just be on one side otherwise the weight of the eyelets on the non secured side will surely make it droop/drop and not fly in a gentle breeze.

Well done Robbo, looking good.
The avantage of having eylets both sides will be that they can be turned to face forward irrespective of the wind direction - and or you could put stiffening stick across the top to help it out in a gental breeze.
-
Ah - the good ole stiffening stick - it has helped out many a chap over the years no doubt. Def one for the LM packing essentials list.

from a dictionary:-
NOUN: A small ring or grommet of rope or metal fastened to the edge of a sail.
ETYMOLOGY: Low German kringel, diminutive of kring, ring, from Middle Low German.
could have fun with this one. who's dropped the soap?

Oh dear, this talk of Low German Kringel's and dropped soap in relation to the stiffening sticks is a bit worrying andnot a side of LM that I have experinced before!

They look like the dogs thingys Robbo.
Will now have to decide which little corner of the Se7en to pack it and its stiffening stick into or maybe even two stiffening sticks with the flag hung between them, rather like the dogs thingys.
Getting exited now so having to go to the bog more frequently. :o

Um - thanks for sharing that Lancs. :-\

Before this years trip to Le Mans I purchased one of the above mentioned C A flags. This flag withstood the heat of La Sarthe with flying colours (sic) and I was very satisfied with it. The flag was next used at Silverstone were it still looked as good as new after a weekend of being battered by wind and rain.
All in all I was very happy with my flag and was willing to reccomend them to everyone.
Until recently that is.
Last weekend I was invited to stay at a fellow CAer's house after a good night out at a beer festival. In the early hours of sunday morning I awakened from my sleep in a very comfortable chair by the chill of the night air. Close to hand was a trusty old CA flag which I used to cover myself as one would with a blanket.
I found the flag to be totally inadequate for the job, in fact it made no difference whatsoever and caused me to loose faith it what until then had been an old friend. Therefore could I politely suggest that the next production run of these flags is made with a zip in fleece liner.
This would ensure that no CAer need ever suffer from hypothermia on the far flung race tracks of the world
-
You shouldn't have used it as a bandana Bob ::)
-
Yes, it hung on Nürburgring too! (very unclear picture, but you can ask Smokie ;D)
