Yeah we're not over there now but I certainly intend to make up for it in June!! ;D
Only 90 days or so & we'll all be there!!
-
Is that all it is hadnt clicked
-
I certainly did intend to make up for it in June but due to a combination of inviting the wrong people and booking too late, we won't be getting there until Friday lunchtime and we shall be camping in an area of approx 14 square inches under a hedge in BSJ >:(
At least I will be able to visit MB and see just how good it could be - if only I knew the right people :(
-
you won't make that mistake next year now though will you and any how at least you will be there some can not be
-
I probably won't make that mistake next year because my wife is determined to have a baby and if that happens I won't be allowed out of the house, let alone the country.
Although I have just remebered that I'm applying for tickets to the World Cup in Germany which she has agreed to. Undoubtably she will arrange the birth at the same time to scupper those plans.
-
'Tis a bit quiet though isn't it! I can hear the echo as I type!
-
Just us, just us.
And our Michael Jackson records.
And a thermos. How much will I get for a thermos? All I want is this thermos. And a chair.
-
Wise words there H. Wise indeed.
And never let it be said that

Still here too.....but only 3 months to go now ;)
-
Hope they took some wet weather gear, its raining out there today.
How long will be before they start getting lured into pickup trucks by banjo playing locals looking for a bit of fun at turn 13.

Never mind Spyker, that might be good suggestion for the boys out there. Take a look, I hope they've got their waterproofs and galoshes.
And plenty of vaseline, obviously...

you'd almost feel sorry for them :-\
-
H, I truely hope for them out there that this is some old picture you're showing. If not, they should head to the nearest supermarket to get some bin bags. The picture looks like some serious upside down bin bag time.
-
seriously not funny
Still it is a long time 'til June.

I seem to remember 97?? with the floods in Houx Annexe and 2000? with rain at the start of the race......
but hey let's not talk about the weather :-\
-
Looks a bit damp!
Remember the troubles that the closed cars had in 2000? -condensation, dodgy electrics, sodden drivers scrotums.
I tell you, zinc and castor oil cream. Don't go anywhere without it.
I don't want to mention schadenfreude, but it's about 18deg outside, the sun is shining, and my underpants are in absolutely tip-top condition.
-
Oh i remember that flood in HA .... we had gone on pitwalk leaving the tent open for fresh air purposes, then got diverted into the beer tent when it started chucking it down..... had an indoor swimming pool by the time we got back!!!! :o
Pleased to hear about the tip top condition of the underpants tho.... wonder if that still holds true on 20 June! ???
-
In 97 I was in Musee and the bogs started back filling and spilling down the hill. The rush was on to move the tents before the 'lava flow' reached.
-
I'm getting ready to fly down in a couple of hours and bringing sunshine with me! Its nice & sunny here in Cincinnati and the forecast for Sebring tomorrow is sunny with temps in the mid 70's...wohoo! Perfect weather for a race. Jesus I hope those guys were able to keep their stuff dry, I too was caught up in the LM monsoon of 2001.
