Sebring is history... roll on Spa...
I hope you all had a save return... who's in for Spa ? I know I am ;D
-
There are eight of us going, just waiting for the last two to confirm they've booked the ferry.
Can't wait. :)
-
Several Drinking for Holland-members going as well.
I know 8 for sure, including myself, Paddy might know the exact number.
-
CA meeting at the beer bar up at Eau Rouge anyone ?

yep, my plan is to take my flag and hang it off the advertisement boards next to that bar ;D

Thanks Paddy, just about made that out !
Bad news is that its my sons birthday that weekend, so it looks like I'll miss Spa this year.

Jem, do him (and yourself :) ) a favour and go. He'll love it at Spa and will be gratefull for his entire life. I still know when my father took me to my first motor sport event (1978 F1 GP at Zolder). You'll be super dad ;D. How old does he get ?
-
Too bad Jem, but I know a little of what you mean.
My son is born the 4th of March, so I'm always struggeling to keep my eyes open on the F1-season's opener in Melbourne because of the kid's parties :(
I got an idea, bring him along, he'll get in for free! ;D
-
Didn't mean to nick your idea, hgb! ::)
And if the wife protests, bring her along aswell. Free entrance for her too :)
-
Same line of thought here, Paddy. ;D

Same here, but then Zandvoort 1979.
I was a little earlier with my son, Magny Cours 2002. He was two years old then, and even remembers today! :o

Only the season opener Paddy?
Christ, I'm struggling to keep them open every race

Awesome, but at £5 a beer expensive .
Fuji were awesome, England OK, but managed to take the piss out of the Aussies for 2 solid days !!
-
Looks like we're down to 6 :(
-
We're staying in a youth hostel in Malmedy with a group of eight, the planetlemans-guys will joins us for Saturday night. A bit unclear how many more guys will join Sunday morning, but some should have a serious hangover ;D
-
We're staying in Liege on Friday & Saturday night.
-
Nice one, should get you to the circuit within half an hour.
Try 'n park next to the petrol station few yards before the last roundabout before the entrance. You'll do enough miles on the circuit anyway :)
-
Brilliant, thanks for that.

What are your travel plans Robbo?

The couple at the Eau Rouge seem friendly enough last September. But the drinking will be for the Saturday for me only, I can probably find some idiot who will want to drive us to the YMCA in Malmedy. Have to drive home myself on Sunday, so have to seriously reduce then, damn! >:(
-
Yeah, we have to drive back on Sunday night, and I got the driving job :(

We'll drink some for you Paddy! :D

We are going over Saturday morning Dover Calais and getting to a place in Malmedy, where some of the other MG lot are staying.
I have to be back at work on the Monday, so after the race, i will be driving home.
I think i maybe staying in the same place as Paddy
-
There's a small chance I could fix a business trip to Frankfurt for the Monday/Tuesday.
1) Would it be feasible to stay over 25km away from the track (availability/price considerations) - is travelling bad?
2) Would I miss much is I only turned up on Sunday?
-
We're staying about 20kms from the track, in Liege. We're pretty sure that traffic won't be too bad.
The race is on Sunday, so you'd miss the qualifying and some of the other suppot races, but you'd still get to see and hear the main event.
