This has been our main Le Mans vehicle for the past 4 years and has now been surpassed by a new American Motorhome.
My pride and joy has been washed weekly and maintained perfectly. With less than 50,000 miles on the clock and a new clutch this van will go on for ever. When driven at 60mph you will achieve at least 35mpg despite its size.
At only 5m long and 2.1m wide, and 2.8m high. In general this is a great every day vehicle and of course PERFECT Le Mans support vehicle;

I can confirm that I have travelled as a passenger to the 2004 PQ in this vehicle and it is most agreeable.
-
Does this mean it never wins an argument Steve? 8) ::) :o
-
Most certainly dear boy. Very congenial and accomodating!
-
Lets hope it goes to a caring CA home. Rick is it coming with you this year as a final trip? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
I concur with Steve, having attended the same event in the said vehicle. I also slept on one of the single beds, and jolly comfortable it was too!! And I'm not the smallest of people!!

Yoinks!!! Rick, that's quite a lot of dosh for an eleven year old Dubb!
Sorry to put anyone off Rick's van, but can I suggest the offer below represents great value for money, two campers for £5.50.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14256&item=4543531479&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
I know owning a Dubba is probably more "cool", but come on!
-
Most VW's don't have bathrooms!! Most are finished with plastic cupboards, mine are pine, Most are 100,000miles on the clock or more. New they are in excess of £36,000.
This van is vertually unique as there were only 9 or 10 built. It might be at the Silverstone event next month if anyone wants to see it.
F. Spider it will not be at Le Mans this year as we are taking my dads van.
-
LOL - another Commer plug Mr Zarse.... surely not!
I am astonished to hear u suggest that a VW is more cool than a Commer tho .... that sounds like treason to me.

Bloody hell Mark, Rick's trying to sell the van not give it away. This sort of outburst won't do his cause any good what so ever ;D ;D

Not even if the dads van has a VW rack. You'll need sometning to do the sights ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
We will be towing a small car behind ;D

Not only is it treason, but somehow the tempremental thing seems to know if he's run it down and won't start the next time he tries her!!

Some interior pictures I took tonight.

Some interior pictures I took tonight.
Rick, it's difficult to tell from the pics, but I would swear there is a whole lot more space in a u-no-what (available in a twin pack, prices from £5.50 from all good auction sites). I admit mine does not have a bathroom , but it does have an outdoor shower and you can always do what we do and piss in the student's toilet (the sink).
-
Mr Zarse - are there just the slightest signs of wavering in your total devotion to Commer?!! :o
-
No, I'm just trying to be objective. I have never said the C is unbeatable in every aspect, just great VFM. Anyway, Rick's van is not haunted and as far as I know has no mythical powers.
-
Ummm - and thats a good thing......... right? :-\

I can think of a plus point to a camper having an internal toilet!!!! ;)
-
I am just slightly worried Rick
You state that the sink is in the bathroom, but the toilet is Thetford, bit of a long walk aint it :-\ ;)
-
I believe Rick is trying to sell his camper, not have a general discussion about it ::)...
-
Any publicity is good publicity... ;)

I believe Rick is trying to sell his camper, not have a general discussion about it ::)...
Look, if my Sebring tent-mate Rick is serious about selling the camper (and I know he is) I dare say it will be properly advertised elsewhere such as in Autotrader and aimed at serious punters. I had reckonned, though I stand to be corrected, posting it on here was on the very slim off-chance that a fellow Le Manner might be in the market for one. And since when did anything ever posted on CA not be up for open discussion?? :(
-
Which badgers exactly? Do you target specific ones or is it more random?
-
You raise a good point that I agree with just seamed this was getting away from the point.
Autotrader is the way forward!
-

Specific ones mainly. I prefer them if they are carriers of bovine TB. They're fiesty little fu ckers and no mistake, they'll take out any dog you care to name. I find it's best to snap off their sharp bottom teeth with some pliers before baiting them with spoons. Once you're done with them, the mince makes nice burgers and the pelt can form the basis of a top quality shaving brush, so they don't go to waste.

It was! ;)
-
How did they come up with using badger hair for shaving brushes?
Did they try various small rodents until they found the badger best?
-
How did they come up with using badger hair for shaving brushes?
Never mind worrying about that, Rhino. How did they find out that sharks liver was beneficial for a gentlemans (and ladies) Nuremburgs?
I mean, I can't believe for a moment, or even begin to imagine the circumstances where a bejewelled behind came into contact, accidentally, with a f*cking sharks liver, for chrissakes. And what about the control? Was there a double blind behind using flatfish kidneys?
Modern life's getting to complicated if you ask me.
-
I think it must be natural selection. Over the centuries people got bored, thought 'i wonder what happens if i do this.'
The succesful ones come back with wonderous cures and good ideas, the rest died horribly.
-
Rick any news? Has it been sold?
-
No, no sale yet :'(
Will be advetised in the magazines next month.
-
Rick is lying.
His bus looks nothing like that on page 1.
we all sawhim parked up at silverstone in it yesterday.
Rick's love bus.
-
Blimey - i wish i knew that before.......i am off to the bank for the readies tomorrow!!! :o
