Maybe if Mr Pig explained the origin of his ticket we might understand the cost - over to you Mr Pig...?
-
Think we've been date raped of Mr Beer pig. Been, cleaned and gone.
-
Have asked for clarification. Are they definitely 38 Euros this year?

There is more than one source of these tickets.
Here is the ACO pricing http://tinyurl.com/9fzm8
Other commercial sources may charge more.
-
My ACO invoice reads 45 Euro for the ticket and 10 Euro for postage. 55 Euros... what's that in real money?
-
55 Euro is roughly £38, so maybe £40 isn't too wide of the mark...

So £38 plus £2 for registered postage.
I'd say that's a fair price.
Besides, it's not the selling of a camping pass at perhaps a few quid over face value, it's the prevention of buying tickets with the sole intention of making profit that's key.
I have to say though, looking closer at my ACO invoice, it says the 45 Euros is for a Beausejour ticket with a Houx Annex in reserve. Well the Houx Annex ticket turned up, and if that's listed as 38 Euros, then it's the ACO who's a little out of order 'cos I've not had a 7 Euro refund!
-
The ACO didn't refund my postage either last year when I collected the tickets at pre-q. Still, I'd asked them to post them so I suppose that's fair enough.
-
FOR ALL THOSE CONCERNED..................
I paid 45 euros for the ticket and delivery.... So i dont think that 40 pounds sterling is that much to ask
I to love the spirit of lemans and would like to think that in a fix i could also purchace a ticket for this price.
Any way enought of that........ bring on the sacred weekend of cars,beer,cars.beer,cars,beer...........................

HEAR HEAR BEERPIG
Its not like he is asking £100 like that other site.
Having not got any camping tickets, I for one, would be more than happy to take this ticket for a mere £40!
Chill out you lot!!!! ;D
ps I will have at £40 email me: paul@elcon.co.uk

Robbo's view coincides with my own view (which does not necessarily represent CA policy).
I agree we should be vigilante against rip off merchants, but within reason offers for sale at over face value should be allowed. I know it's hard to determine what IS reasonable, but there can be many reasons why someone has paid or asks for over face value (e.g. Just Tickets, postage costs) and I really don't think it is very pleasant for a new member to get a grilling about why they are looking for a few bob over the odds. Hardly a friendly greeting.
It's also a fact of life that people who need a ticket will be prepared to pay a little over the odds. So long as they feel they aren't lining someone's pockets.
If you really believe someone is ripping off, report the post to me and I will deal with it by PM or some means. Please refrain from the sometimes aggressive line of questioning.
