What is the longest unbroken attendance at le Mans as a spectator? I first went in 1983 and this year is my 23rd consecutive year. Which is nothing compared to the chap I met on the startline straight a few years ago who had been to every race since 1953.
-
I cant beat 23 24hourman.
I've missed 1 in 14. Would have gone to that one but they wouldn't let me out! :D

Pre qual in 1997 the since 2002

Every year since 1994, except last year.
I was going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed (coming from Belgium), but ended up in a ditch when the steering column on my Triump Dolomite Sprint came loose. Never saw Goodwood.
Must be the revenge of the "Le Mans God" for skipping a year.
I'll be back this year !
-
First year was 91 only missed 93 due to a family wedding
-
I read my earlier post again and it makes me sound like I was in Jail! :-[
Just to set the record straight I was in hospital :D
I wanted to come but they wouldn't let me take the drip with me ;)

Just a note for all be careful when planing a family the conseption has to be well timed so the birth is not to clash in any way.
No excuses now,
Off tomorrow. :o ;D :o

First year was 1987, missed 1992, 1994 and 1997.

It was my sons' engagment party a couple of months ago. The most important piece of fatherly advice I could offer was
"DO NOT ARRANGE YOUR WEDDING FOR LE MANS WEEKEND"
-
This will be my 19th straight visit.
I still get tingles down my spine as the cars start off on the first "proper" lap ;D :D
-
Where's Delboy?? He's been going for about 40 years I think? Not sure if he's done all of those or not though?
Relative Newbie me by compasion to a lot of you as this will be my 5th on the trot. But what I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm!! ;D
-
Every year since 2004 :)

Well done ;D

My daughter usually has her birthday on 18 June.
Except next year, when she is 21, so I am declaring she will have an Official Birthday in another month... :)

Need my brother-in-law's, Matt & Dave Harper, to confirm this but I believe Richard (our brother-in-law) is doing his 25th consecutive Le Mans this year! Matt and Dave can't be far behind but I'll leave it to them to supply the details - should they want to of course :)
As for me, I believe this is my 10th consecutive year. Yikes :o

I'm here JP.
Can't compete on the 'unbroken' bit - only 12 years. If I had gone in '93, this would have been my 25th. Overall, this is my 28th (or may be 29). You are right, though, first went in 1965.
Regarding 'clashing' anniversaries, you may remember I got married (again) on the Saturday after LM last year. As they put this year's race back a week, I will have to miss my 1st year's wedding anniversary on the 19th. No problem, though - I had my trip to LM for the next 30 years written into the marriage contract. Only hope I can make them all, but I doubt anyone would give you good odds on that!!!!

Can't find a Smiley with Zimmer frame, but I suppose Steve will provide.

since 1985
but for 1988 first son born just before race and 1991 second son born Le Mans sunday (23rd June it was late that year) listened on radio in Aylesbury county hospital.
Not missed one since..............both sons will be with me this year.......... again.
;D ;D

since 99, with just 2001 out as my brother got married that weekend. Idiot, there are 51 other weekends i told him, and then he made me best man so i had to go. I did debate doing the speech and then driving like dick dastardly all the way down, or wondered if i could thumb a lift at the local private airfield, but ended up pissed and unconcious, so that was over.
Nice grub though.

Every year since 1993, saw the last of the Group C Peugouts under Jean Todts control, bloody great!
