Title: Camping "Houx Non Num"? Post by: JTS on June 13, 2005, 03:03:55 pm First timer for Le Mans this year, managed to get hold of a camping ticket at the last minute over the internet designated "Houx Non Num"
I've checked out where the area is and even seen a plan of the pitches; i'm just puzzled as to what it means to have a "Non Num" ticket for the area that appears to be all numbered pitches. Anyone shed any light on this? Title: Re:Camping "Houx Non Num"? Post by: SpriteII on June 13, 2005, 04:30:19 pm As I understand it, it's just that. You are in Houx (not Houx Annexe) but first come first served in one of the odd little patches of ground they don't bother to mark up. I think there were some near us last year on an old bit of circuit (hope you've got carbide tent pegs).
I'm no expert though, having only been on Houx once. Title: Re:Camping "Houx Non Num"? Post by: JTS on June 13, 2005, 05:51:46 pm Yeah, thats sounds logical.
As long as we have room to pitch one tent and park a car I'll be happy. I'll bare in mind the potential tent-peg problem, perhaps take some nails and a hammer! Title: Re:Camping "Houx Non Num"? Post by: SpriteII on June 14, 2005, 09:28:09 am Certainly some pressed steel (as opposed to wire) tent pegs and some sort of steel spike to make guide holes might be a very good idea.
Excellent showers on Houx though, we may well be visiting them sometime over the weekend ourselves, especially if it's Scorchio. |
