The event is called "Carto & Chateaux" (map and castles) because it's a cartographic and navigation rally between some castles and nice properties south of Le Mans. It's not a competition, no ranking, no speed, no number on your door...

Dates: 10 and 11 December 2005

Scrutineerings from 2PM on 10/12 at the Chateau de Montbraye (10 mins from the track)

Pre-stage start at 5 PM

After a light but good dinner, you'll have 2 night stages from 8 PM

You stay at the Domaine de Bel Air or in other castles in the area...

... Sunday's morning stages start at 8 AM - You'll have 5 diffrerents stages

Then at around 1.30 or 2 PM you'll end your trip and have a gastronomic lunch.

You'll leave just afeter the lunch, maybe around 4 to 5 PM if it's like last year.

Sounds like even more fun than last year. I´ll be there, hope other CA members will too. The new motorway will be open Rouen to just up the road from Gilles´chateau, if that helps, and plenty of cheap cross-channel deals if you live in the UK.

Engines down...

... 2nd Classic rally is gone with only 15 cars. No GT40 this year but an AC Cobra, some 911, Jaguar XKR (ok it's a "born-to-be" classic car) convertible, Simca CG, some german beasts...

... gonna have a few pictures to publish, but no one of CA Cars !!!!  :P

Remember the date: 9 and 10-12-2006 for the 3rd edition and 25 and 26-03-2006 for the 4WD Festival.
