Found on pistonheads and confirmed on the ACO site.

Check you can make it back to the ferry in time!!!

2006 : à année de célébration exceptionnelle, départ à horaire exceptionnel !
Le samedi 17 juin, le départ de la 74e édition des "24 Heures du Mans" sera ainsi donné à 17 h 00 au lieu de 16 h 00.

Getting back to the topic, this is all very civilised.  It means a 4pm start, but in British Summer Time
