Just to let you know that Perdu (Bill) had his knee op yesterday morning and according to Mrs Perdu, it all went well and they will be letting him out this weekend.

Holy moley - just did the full knee op in that link and I was "an excellent help".
I think I've found a new career...
Next time a Club Arnager needs a new knee, just let me know...

The mother in law had one of these, and she's even more barmy than before. I hope its not an after effect.
I saw this operation on the telly years ago. The power tools those surgeons have are incredible.

Slight problem, I am not allowed to drive for six weeks which I think is a little excessive, however, we will survive.
Poo Bar (if they build us one!) is not a problem...

The head has been a bit chilly this week. I really did choose the wrong time to do this. Strangely though (or maybe not for those who know me quite well) I actually quite like it and might keep it like this for a while - well until June at least. ;D
Concentrate on getting that knee right. I screwed mine playing Netball a few years ago - OUCH!!!

Glad to hear you are recovering well Bill.
We are all big strong lads we can give you a piggyback to the poo bar if need be, can't guarentee the return journey though. Bit of a stagger I suspect.

Walking at the poo bar aint gonna be a problem. I have a very high "selfish basta***d" rating, if it matters I WILL make it happen.
I've already shocked my physio with 104° knee movement 4½ days after the operation. Trust me I'll be there.

I had my knee re-built 4 1/2 years back now, at considerable cost to the UK tax payer.
I was playing football within 6 months.
Within 3 months you'll be walking again.
Dont worry about the driving. I struggled to have any power in my left leg for a while so i didnt try to drive.
I still have my MRI scna photo's to show the damage i did to the knee. Makes interesting reading

Cheers Robbo. I am already walking "with" sticks when the guvner is watching me and on occasion i.e bog to washroom for handcleaning, without 'em. I don't want mucky germs tranferring off the sticks to the wound...

I saw the pictures they took inside before last years arthroscopy... not enticing!
