Is anyone else getting a microsoft .net passport message box appearing when on this site? It started happening a couple of days ago and is very annoying.
-
I'm not, do you have anything in you profile against the MSN entry?
Andy
-
I thought it was just me! Thought the kids had amanged to pick up some spyware.
Attempting to attach to T3 storage or something like that?
-
I'm getting it as well :o
-
Me too!
-
Me too but not this morning

No, nothing in mine!
-
I'm also getting a lot of Spam email with viruses attached that are coming from .dk domains. The server is in Denmark I believe!
-
No me, but then I'm not very fond of MSN and barely have it running. So it's probably software/spyware related.
MSN to me is a bit like ICQ a few years ago, after a while I always had it on 'invisible' - so not even usefull to have it running. I'm just a lazy bastard as for that, rather phone the person ;D
-
I don't have MSN running on my machine!
-
Been bombarded with it at work and at home!! Don't run MSN at work and it doesn't appear anywhere on the MSN site.
-
I get it on certain threads on here !!!
-
I got a message telling me a new version of MSN messenger was available but after the last "upgrade" and associated crud i wont update it.
Maybe your kids have already downloaded the newer version and that's the issue.
Nothing on my screen with regards to .net passport thing.
-
I don't have MSN installed anywhere!
-
I've got it as well. >:(
Could some kind computer literate soul tell me how to turn the bl**dy thing off
-
Quite happy running both and getting no errors.....at the moment......
-

Isn't MSN some standardy thingy by Microsoft? ???
-
I thought i did since you mentioned it, but then realised that it was just the title of this thread.. :-[
-
Fran, I have been plagued by this junk for about five days now too, but only on some of the threads.
I searched my own compootah for signs that it could have been picked up elsewhere but it seems to be here only.
All my "antispam, antiworm, antitrojan and antitroll" ware says it isn't in my machine so I reluctantly think it is off someone else's machine...
The only way I can stop it is to hit the CROSS in the corner!

i'm use msn, nothing here at all, maybe you need a decent anti-virus/spyware thingy, thats technical splourge if you hadn't noticed.
-

I use Norton antivirus, updated daily, so I think it's a Microsoft thingy ( I can do techno speak as well ;))
Do the computers which have been effected run Windows XP, with auto update enabled?
If this is the case, as everybody seems to have been effected at about the same time, I would guess that it might be an update from the Great Satan in Seattle.
-
As most of you, I do get is in some threads. Very irritating indeed. Must be the forum threads, no msn on this machine, it's a work PC and very well protected to downloading and firewalled.

Bob, just be careful, as i don't know if it is speld correctly!
-
Not getting any messages, either at home or work.
All working fine
-
I was getting it yesterday (ooh er missus!) but not today.
-
I'm not getting the message now but I have been for a number of days on both the home PC which is firewalled and has auto-update turned off and also on the work PC on which I can't install anything as I don't have administrator rights.
Strange.......
-
Stopped doing it now on my computer.
Very strange.
-
It's stopped on mine as well now!
Spooky!!!!!!!
So Club Arnage is obviously the answer to all our computer problems. If you have a problem, post a message about it on here and two days later it will resolve itself. ;D

Continue to use the PC at work - why spend your own valuable time on your favourite forum when you can do it at work :P :P :P

Well, you've posted the question, so, try again in two days time on your home PC and it might just start working again (god that's going to be spooky if it does!!)
