Mr UPS has just delivered my 'Express Envelope' containing my tickets.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
A nice little touch - the tickets are in a nice folder with old and new photos on it, and on the front is "Perspective de nuit sur la courbe Dunlop" - an artists impression of the village at night.
Whatever, my tickets are here, and I'm on my way.
I'm an 'A', so looks like they are going out alphabetically.

Wow!! That's good news, it is really starting to feel real ;D
I'm a W though so I guess I won't hold my breath just yet!
-
As we are a B, ours should not be far behind you. Now where did I put those sun glasses. 8)
-
Are you guys Just Tickets? My tickets have never, ever, in the histroy of ever arrived in May let alone the 3rd. :(

That's because your a W!!!
-
Alright, no need to get personal ;)
-
Well I'm a 'B' and mine arrived direct from the ACO today as well :)
I was half anticipating them though as I had an e-mail from UPS yesterday informing me of a letter package in their system, and a consignment number in case I wanted to track it on-line! Pretty good going really.
Not long now..............................
-
Alright, no need to get personal ;)
I've just realised how that could have read!! ;D ;D
Are you around this weekend? If so I'll buy you a pint Saturday lunchtime as way of an apology!
-
Aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!
I've just remembered the two things that annoy me most about this site, endless Sebring threads ( ;) ) and countless people getting their tickets before me. I'm going to sulk now until June :'(

As one of our longest serving members I feel it only right that my YaBB God post should be to you Mark ;D
What are you doing down this way then on Saturday?

I'm an R so have to sweat it out as well - although not as much as you two. Just so long as I'm not on the phone to the ACO the day before I'm due to leaved England asking where my tickets are. I never want to have to go through that again!
-

No email from Just Tickets for me. Now I'm starting to get worried :-[

None for me either. Doubly worried...... :(
-
Got an email from UPS, my tickets are due tomorrow ;D
But the most impressive thing is UPS appeared to pick them up mid-afternoon & according to the tracking thingy they're in Essex already!!
They must fly them straight from the Le Mans airfield to Stansted!! It sure beats the pointless flight to Hong Kong from a few years ago!!
-
I don't about you other people with end of alphabet surnames, but I'm pissed off with this thread already
-

Agreed. We're 'T' :'(
-
got our pack of tickets yesterday also - must say the BSJ passes are a putrid shade of yellow this year!
oh, i'm a B..
-
Our tickets are still waiting at the esses....
-
I might change my name to Robert Aardvark next year just to make sure ;D

Jeez boys give them a chance! You've paid good money to the ticket touts for the privilege of not worrying! It's highly unlikely they've emailed everyone at the same time so don't sweat :)
It's the ACO lottery that's much more hit and miss!! (some of us thrive on it though ;D)
-
Worry not gents, I'm with Just Tickets......AND THEY'VE ARRIVED TODAY, game on then.

I'm guessing she e-mailed me because I have changed the shipping address and she probably wanted me to know they were on the way. Either that or the fact that I've e-mailed her inumerous time in the last 10 months that she realizes what a compulsive I am.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.

...had a great time (again) in Sebring and my tickets arrived Wednesday. But because I rubbed it in I invite you for a beer at the Golden Triangle. Stop by anytime from Sunday on and I`ll tell you lot`s (but not everything) about Sebring ;D
-
tell you lot`s (but not everything) about Sebring ;D
...but not Daytona eh? 8)
I'm collecting my tickets at test weekend, so no worries for me... ;D

Holy sh*t you live in the States and you've already got your tickets :o
I thought all mail had to go via the white house for rigorous anti-terrorism checks ;D

I sure hope so, I might have to use something similar when I get home.!!!!
It is accepted wordwide ;D

Hmmm... Me too.
Can at least one of us actually watch the race (apparently there is one - not sure where or what though) and fill the rest of us in on what happened before we get home?

Like wise. >:(
-
So spare a thought for us poor Z's... Don't suppose I'll see mine til next year.
-
I rang the ACO yesterday about our tickets. We were on the waiting list for MB campsite, but had paid for HA. So we said just send HA tickets, they said we would get them in the next 5 days.
Btw, we were position 5 on the waiting list for MB.
-
My 'T's have arrived form JustTickets. There's hope yet for you 'Z's ::)
-
Being a U would mean I should be next if I ordered from just tickets but I order from the ACO which means the "exitement/waiting"is prolonged every year. You just tickets customers don't know what you are missing ::)
-

Just bask in the fact that you paid the ACO price and not an agents mark-up Bob. ;)
-
According to the tracking number on an e mail I got from UPS at work today, my tickets have been delivered and signed for by my nextdoor neighbour this morning. I am a C surname so they are getting there slowly.
-
I am a D and got mine last Friday....
-
Bizzarely I've had an email from UPS saying my tickets are due tomorrow and I'm a W :o So either I've ordered something else and forgotten about it or the ACO have got through the rest of the alphabet pretty swiftly!
We're not going to be here to receive the tickets - there's a chance that there might be a neighbour around but if not does anyone know what they'll do with them if there's no one around?
-
I'd expect that you will get a card and have to call on your return, however they may just try to redeliver on Monday.
-

Yes, that's what worries me!! We'll still be en-route back from Spa. It's blooming typical - it's probably the only two days we won't be here. Hopefully it'll be like Parcel Farce they won't return them to the sender until after a week.
-
Last year the ACO used UPS and they just pushed the envelope through the door and didn't need a signature. Unless I dreamed it but I don't remember having to sign
-
Me and my wife are ACO members, so as we can get 4 ACO grandstand tickets. My wife tickets arrived today, but not mine.
My wife rang the ACO and they said I should get mine next week. They have 5 boxes of ticket to check. You will love this bit, they don't know where they are. I also asked when all the ticket will be send by and the answer, this is good before the race.
I told the lady that we leave for France at the end this month.
-
Piglet - I remember from last year that they try and deliver the ticket three times, then they get returned to ACO.

You're a cheerful soul you are.
What a wonderful way to start the weekend finding out that your tickets could lost somwhere in the ACO building
-
BOB - This is Mrs bgeorge104, it is very stressful. I will be ok, when I get those tickets in my hand, this is our 11 year and it does not get any less stressful.
-
does anyone know what they'll do with them if there's no one around?
I think it really depends on the delivery person, my tickets go to my folks house (I moved out a few years back but am too afraid to change the order just in case!! :-[ )
Using the online tracking this year it said they'd been signed for by the old man, so I rang up that night & apparently they'd just left the package behind a plant pot on the doorstep, some people!!
So you might get back from Spa & find you've gotta arrange a re-delivery (I'd guess they'd keep it for 1 week), or you may just find the package through the door, or possibly round at the neighbours??
-
Got mine yesterday from Just Tickets by royal mail next-day service.
YIPPEEEEE! ;D ;D ;D
-
Hopefully they're not being sent via Thailand this year ::)
-
Assuming the ACO ticket office people are working their way through the alphabet, they seem to have reached the letter "K", I got mine yesterday by UPS directly from the ACO.
Just 31 days t o wait...
Cheers
Werner
-
I think your right Werner, got my UPS notification email yesterday and I'm an M. Just hope somebodies in to sign for them.
-
I've got mine. They tried to deliver on Friday, then again on Monday and then brought them again on Tuesday when Keith was home.
I'm still not sure about this alphabet thing! Can someone tell me how they show your name on your invoice? Mine says surname then firstname which might explain how I got my tickets some long way ahead of the rest of the alphabet!
-
Piglet, I have to say, I'm not convinced with the alphabetical order theory either, I'm near the back of the alphabet and got mine a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I'm not logged under 'B'.
Jay, it's a UPS delivery alright, but not a recorded one and doesn't need signing for.
H
Ahhh, just read your bit about Keith having to sign for it...Seems like UPS are as unpredictable as the ACO then, mine were just shoved through the letterbox.
-
and i'm W for WANC and ive just had mine
PM
-
Doesnt the ACO give either an order number or a customer number? Perhaps they use that for the order in which they print them out.... ???
-
Excellent speculation guys. With all our contacts at the ACO could we not just ask the ACO Ticket Office how it is done? Or do you think it is a Gallic thing, its just happens, nobody knows why or understands why, its just a mystery.
::) ::) ::)

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Peter.
If the Gallic shrug goes to the left that day then people without any name at all get some delivered. If they have run out of Gauloise then only people with double barrelled first names get any, and woe betide us if they ever run out of Absinthe!! :o
-
As it is a seasonal thing do you think they bring additional staff in to cope with the mailing? Anyone care to hazard a guess?
Could be reli's of the portable ablution attendants?
-
and i'm W for WANC and ive just had mine

Tickets or... ??? :P
-
The LADS have a green light. Entry, grandstand and camping passes have all arrived. Thanks Just Tickets, great service as usual. Still waiting for the ferry stuff though but thats through a different outfit
-
Hopefully they're not being sent via Thailand this year ::)
Steve,
You didn't mention anything about Thailand when I sent you the money.
And your surname (in case you hadn't realised ???) starts with a "B"!
-
Yes I know Gary. I'm still waiting >:(
-
UPS wanted a signature for mine. Got a text saying my housemate signed for them this morning. I'm down for Beausejour so I'm hoping for a clerical error and they have moved me to the Annexe. Wishful thinking :P
-
from my experience as a postie (am now expostie) if there was a letter that required a sig, as opposed to a parcel, if there was no answer at the door the letter was generally signed for by the postie himself. this was generally accepted altho i did once have some1 complain about it. still once in 2 1/2 years wasnt a bad record! ;D
this may be what is happening with the ups guys?
-
Got UPS notification that our tickets are on there way.
-
Just to add a bit more in the mix, the girl at Continental Car Tours told me today that theirs have just landed so mine will soon...
And after taking the easy option this year, it has to be the other way again next year...
CCT costs far too blarry much. :(
Steve, you know the score mate!
Bill

My tickets have arrived too now. I will send all tickets to those concerned tomorrow.
Little hint from my side: I mailed the ACO last Monday to see if they could bring my order more forward. They could, and the tickets arrived today.
Maybe handy for those who have to send on too (or get very nervous, like Steve Brown :-X)
-
Nice man from UPS has just delivered my tickets.
-
Ours have arrived.
For those doing a Phd in the mysterious workings of the ACO, my surname begins with a R.
-
I emailed the ACO the other day as well Paddy and mine should be on their way too.
Rusty
-
My surname begins with a D and still no sign of tickets.
Wonder what I've done to upset them?
-
Stone the crows I've got a mail from the UPS boys! :o
Apparently my tickets are scheduled for delivery today. No having to get in touch with the ACO two days before I'm due to leave saying "la ou sont mes billets?" this year. ;D ;D ;D
-
My tickets have just been delivered by the man in the brown van. :)
The print quality of the camping tickets is especially poor this year, half the ink is already missing.....
-
Tickets arrived by UPS today, wahey.
Rusty
-
Tickets arrived on Wednesday, the wife and our six guests are now starting to get excited!
Pretty sure that last year UPS just shoved them through the door when no-one was in, but this year they insisted on a signature. Fortunately signing the little card and taping it to the front door with instructions to place in letterbox were sufficient for a succeful re-delivery. Much better than Parcel Farce.
BTW First name P second L, so it could still be aphabetical order, or completely random, especially as I only ordered them a few weeks ago, rather than months like everyone else.
Lardy
-
Looks like the man in the van has delivered my tickets to the man next door. Most excellent. ;D
-
There's some excitement around on the forum. Pleased to hear that every one seems to be getting sorted. Started making my list today of stuff to take. Got my grandstand tickets last week from the ACO. 3 weeks on Sunday to departure.
-
I week and 6 day and we are of to South of France and then Le Mans.
-
Dear Gary,
just a few lines to let you know that my tickets for the annual 24 hour motor race and p:ssup at Le Mans arrived this morning.
Hope to see you and the guys at the friendly, no- nonsense camp site that is known as Houx Annexe.
Yahooooooo!
bring it on!
Oh... Continental Car Tours starts with a "C"
Your mate Bill
-
All tickets for Bleu Nord now arrived via UPS (delivered to neighbour) and 1 via Piglet & Keith K, Thanks.
Must say the Bleu Nord tickets completely in Blue with black print don't look particularly good, but thats not what counts.
-
Thanks for the information about the arrival of your tickets.
I'm happy to put my trust in Mr Brown and I'm sure that he will agree with me when I say that getting your tickets early is unnecessary and just a little bit gauche ::)
-
UPS in the mutha f**k*ng house ;D
Tickets scheduled for delivery tomorrow and I'm a W (no not w-anker)
Now I've just got to work out how to actually get them seeing as there's no-one ever at home.
-
Robs
UPS didnt need a sig,They just posted it thro the letterbox
PM

My tickets arrived this morning from MRI :D :D
Always feels better to have them in your hand
Andy
-
Well I WAS worrying about them not being sent , but now I have been told they were sent last Thursday!
NOW I am worrying about them being lost in transit or pinched at my flat - those silly lil postboxes are so fragile!
:-\
Ah well, its important to have something to worry about isnt it... ;D
-
All my tickets have been sent today to those who bought them off me again.
Thanks all for helping out ;)
-
Well, I have to pick up my tickets at the ACO office, but today the ACO debited the credit card
So I'm safe as BSJ is now also sold-out, phhheww
-
Well - there is good news and bad news!!
My tickets have arrived (good news) - but the camping is Bleu Nord (I ordered and had confirmation of Bleu Sud) - I know it isnt much different, but I have my favourite tree that I camp under every year! :-\
Ah well.... who cares... I am happy to be there and I always have my pushie!!! ;D

Glad to hear it, but, just for the record Beausejour is NOT sold-out. The ACO booking site tends to go on strike at weekends. Don't inflate the *b*y prices!!
-
All arrived safely last night. But the UPS bloke shoved it through the door with an unsigned delivery card. ???
-
But your name begins with a Z :o
And Steves begins with a B ???
-
But your name begins with a Z :o
Nope, that's a H ;)
