I'll be there again in the Z100... now this thing is bloody loud (it's 3 straight-cut gearboxes that does it!). Even wearing a crash helmet and custom-made ear plugs, by ears are still ringing when I get down there ;D
... subject to my last bit of tinkering going to plan at the weekend.

We have my Alfa 156 driven by a true eejit (me). £220 quids worth of 2 new front Michelin Primacy's to ruin. I will have to keep reminding myself. Not like last year.
Al: "What happens when you push that button"
Me: " Dunno I think it some primitive traction control or something"
(Push button and put foot down)
Backseat Girlfriends: "Aaaaah"
Also got a VW Bora trying to keep up. 4 virgins on board. I've told them to stick to my bumper like glue going through Rouen cause I ain't going back to look for them.

Skoda Fabia vrs, 3 up, beermountain and CA stickers.
Prodigous amounts of black smoke out of the back, (V V cheap ebay chip) and a limited amount of room on the back seat for our 3rd inmate.
Just as well for Him that my Dads morgan is u/s at the mo. But it may be used next time, when the new engine is up and running (The old one was as fast as buggery, and (so I'm told) about as comfortable)

Originally out party consisted of;
Supra
406 Coupé
Audi RS4
Alfa 147 (ours)
Unfortunately the RS4 was trashed by a hit and run driver so that's now a BMW 1 series and the Alfa has had to be replaced by a Renault Megane Scenic for the week as we need the carrying capacity to take replacement items over after a recent burglary :'(

Well, here's my mode of transport, - if you see me, toot!
Not in your trousers obviously, although that would be ok, quite impressive in fact.
Did I read someone asking if they were breaking the speed limit and got caught by the police, would they be fined? Holy sh*t!.
Oh, and if you see me in a verge, in a state of dishevellment, please don't laugh...

after years of Lotii (elise & Esprit V8) we have come up with a plan to avoid speeding issues.
And the plan has a name - Harriet...
...she's a 1927 vintage sports car.
Well at least the liucence will be safe this year, even if the support car is going to get there first tghis year!
-
Is the plan to travel ALL the way in Harriet?

Shall be in my Cerb
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/GT4WRC/DSCF0441.jpg)
I'll be passenger and co pilot in Simons Cerbera.Al.
-
ferrari spider
Yup - going all the way in Harriet.
Drove her up from Cornwall to London last weekend, and will be leaving at 5pm today from Wandsworth to Portsmouth and then tomorrow St malo - LM.
Have to go and get her from a local garage showroom in a few minutes - seemed like a good place to garage her!
We may be slow but she's a hoot (and very difficult) to drive. No synchromesh (of course) on any gears and with the pedals in a different order (accelerator in the middle) it means you have to keep your wits about you.....!
-
Simon, I'm impressed, will look out for you on our way down! Heading out tomorrow from Poole so may have chance to catch you up!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
There is nothing like travelling in style, one year i only took the camper, right pissed off i was too. never again, must have something to cruze around in and show off to the natives. or is that another century? i get confused at my age, its the drugs you know they make me do it.
my father in law has a sunbeam 1904 coupe' only four chassis were produced, two missing and beaulieu motor museum has the other. leather clutch, proper motoring!!
have a fab trip, don't break the speed limit and see you in LM for a drink. Peter
-
Peter
Thnx. Have a safe trip youself.
Cheers
Simon
