Well thats me not going for money reasons and will miss it dearly so anyone else not going join in on the post
-
Me, I've got half a wedding to pay for and a small child who keeps wanting food and clothes and things.
NEXT YEAR. :'(
-
Not there too. :'( :'( :'( :'(
Just will have to make do with Tom and his Formula BMW and the Britcar 24hr at Sillystone, but it just not the same is it.
Roll on 2007
-
I'm not there either. My daughter just had my first grand child last week and I'm delighted with her. She is a little doll. Good reason not to go this year, maybe next year. 368 days to go (if they have it on the same weekend next year.)
-
Sincere condolences to all of you
See you next year then
Werner
-
Not there too :(, already booked for next year though ;D
-
I'm sure the atmosphere can be recreated at britcar. Some pigeon french combined with a lot of stubby beer bottles and a stinking hangover should be just the same as Le Mans.
I'm bringing my pen. And possibly mini-bird armed with a crayon. :D

Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but I have got a not so small child who still needs feeding & clothing etc WHEN WILL IT EVER GO AWAY :'(
-
Not going has something to be said for it, I would have been in a pub in Ashford about now. Was there last year, we turned the lights out when we went to bed ;)
-
sorry to al those not on the annual pilgrimage........... :(
just plenty to read on our return.
toast to absent friends will be done on the poo meet
bye
-
:( :'(
I am another on the list of stay at homes :(
New job has buggered it up for me. I am hoping to arrange for next year, but may have to find another job if I am not allowed out then either :o
Bloody exams, the school boards should move them so they don't clash with LM ;)
-
I'm not going due to a combination of family commitments & skintness in our team, but I've got the tent, flagpole, bbq, fireworks etc ready for the drive up to my mates in Scotland on Friday so we can tape off part of his back garden and re-create Tetre Rouge, might be a bit cold for the swimming pool though. Already got my order in with the ACO for next year, only 52 weeks to go.
-
Me too, another year not going. :( :(
-
Oh sh!t, reading this is depressing...
I have to do 12 hour shifts at work (also weekends and bank holidays) at the moment because of a huge project but still I'll be there. If only on saturday and sunday but I will make it to the Poo bar. It's going to be 1700 KMs of moving back and forth next weekend, more than most of the racing drivers have to cover. ;D
Bobblehat: I'll have an extra beer on you mate when Shorty's wanging along.
All others: Heads up, there's always next year.
Just saw that: Mr. Invisible too - sorry to hear this.
-
Im missing it too, going to the classic this year instead so all is not lost.
We have got a big screen to watch the race on and a marquee, bbq, DJ, bonfire and fireworks in my friends garden down in Yorkshire this weekend so it shouldn't be too bad. Weather looks good too!

I'm selling her at Christmas. :D
(stop dialling social services)
I'm also still lactating, which means leaving her is a bit of a problem. I'm sure you all needed to know that.
-
I'm not going either due to bad back but will have to make do with motors TV coverage which was good yesterday and Radio Le Mans which only seems to be running car reviews and no mention of race yet
-
Very lonely!! its like a ghost town ::)
-
Most seem to have gone already, only four users and a couple of guests online at the moment.
-
After 18 consecutive years I am not going this year......very sad.
To add to my misery I don't have Motors TV....anyone know if I can stream it over the internet??....or any coverage.
Will be attached to the pc and Radio Le Mans for 24hrs.....not the same though.
-
Pass the Valium!!! I'm not going either. Nor is Tom or Michael, my two. In short Tom has cleaned me out this year, and this will be the first Saturday night I've slept at home since Easter!! That's motor racing, I suppose!
Still, Motors TV will be on, and I've got to look on the bright side...... Tom racing at Knockhill in September!!!! Not quite the same as LeMans, eh?
So Tom? Will you be getting pit passes for me next year??
By my recconing, I'll need about 2000 for all the "Clubbers". That should go some way to making up for not going this year!!

:P :P ;)
This year would have been my 20th consecutive visit :(
Thanks for the mention hgb, I am at least going to be watching on Motors TV and in truth will probably see more of the race this year than ever before.
-
I'm sitting here in the office thinking of my four mates who are at this very moment skipping along in their RV to Houx Annex... :'(
Moved house last week and the money's too tight to mention!
Next year perhaps, need to start saving now!
-
All the wishes I made over the past year have not come true...I'm not at Le Mans. Maybe next year.
-
I am sure I saw a piece of tumbleweed blow through here a momment ago.
I to are one of the unluck ones with no sky. So I guess I will just have to dig out Steve McQueens Le Mans...............again :D
tkm271, Tom better get me a pit pass for next year too..........personaly I blame Norbert!! ;) (who BTW is out there with the Supergadget. So you could say that, tkm271 n da Boyz and me are there in sprit.) What do you mean by the "about 2000 for the "Clubbers""??? ???
cue low moaning wind typ of noise stage left
-
Sorry Bobblehat, I didn't make it clear, did I?
I meant that for my Tom to make it up to us for not being able to afford to go this year, he'd better try damn hard to get a drive in next years race, and to make up for it get a pit pass for all the Club Arnagers who'd like to get in the pits area. I'm guessing that he'd need about 2000.
Cue tumbleweed...... again!
-
It's not that quiet in here
Oh yeah it is :'(
-
Watched the practice/qualifying again tonight.
I know I didn't see any of the actual race last year, but boy do I miss being there!
-

I think its time we stay at homes started our own vertul bear mountain.
fss, glug glug glug, clink....1st bottle down :D

Also skipping a year, mainly as I have a separation/house move next week.
BTW - where is the link to Radio Le Mans? STRIKE that - just found it!
-

Ahh, I think you are referring to those angry insect things ;)
-
Are you sure? I thorght it was game the Prescot played when at work
One advantage of being here is that I am now filling up the paddling pool!!!!Tee hee ;D ;D ;D
How are we doing on the beer mountain?
-
Oh no no no NO... The Prezza things are like fried, breadcrumbed mashed potato (bit like him really).
Anyway, they would be described as Frogs noise eaten, not Angry Insects 8)
My Beermountain has taken a bit of a halt, as I decided to work on the wine bottle morraine at the front ;D
Been watching Motors TV all day now, with a smattering of Radio Le Mans.
-
Yep hit the wine to, aiming for a champers and dip in the pool at 9pm.
I guess and audi is in the lead? What again! :o
-
funnily enough about to hit the fizzy stuff too and jump in the pool i love not going to le mans
