1300 hrs start? A bit disapointing, I was expecting at least an hour of night racing. :(
We will have to find alternative entertainment for Sunday night

Bob, I guess it would be a bit too early to start torching the gazebo ;)

We will have to find alternative entertainment for Sunday night
After your Saturday evening curry, there will be enough self-generated entertainment :) :) :)

I think my timetable will be including a trip to this on saturday.

Spencer Davis, Dave Edmunds and Ten Years After amongst others. That is gonna be one hell of a weekend Andy.
Why is it, there's bugger all happening then two events you wanna go to come along at the same time?
I saw The Smokehouse Blues Band at the Kinsale blues festival last year, well worth a listen
-
This is not good. I assumed a similar schedule as last year and booked a return flight on sunday at 20:15 from Heathrow. I booked this months ago, though. So, back to the drawing board for some alternative planing. :-\

I'll stick with John Mayall, he's on tour in November - doesn't clash with anything

I think most of us will get home about midnight - not good, and Saturday looks pretty boring
-
plenty of Museums locally to visit if the track action is less than interesting.

Latest timetable is now on the LMS site
http://www.lmes.net/uk/donington/programme.asp
Race starts at 12:30, with qualifying on Saturday.
Start time is great for us as we have to nip off for a Christening at 2:00pm. It's close enough for us to see the first 30-45 mins and the last couple of hours or more!

Is everyone camping at the track or somewhere nearby?

Most of us are booked into the Park Farmhouse Camp Site just at the back of the circuit - see
www.parkfarmhouse.co.uk
The 'on-site' campsite is a bit basic (VERY basic) so we decided to try the above. If you want to try them, and they have space, mention Club Arnage as they are trying to keep us all together as much as posible. Some of us (most I think) are arriving friday and staying til monday to make a reasonable 'party' of it!! No TVRs.
We have also joined Speedchills, which may be useful for a beer or three, food and if it is wet.
How many are you talking about? If they are full, you may be able to blag some space from someone already booked in. Can't offer space myself - got caravan, wife and 2 dogs!!

This was what Ferrari Spider and DelBoy helped to organise. Not sure if there is space left but it is worth a try:-
Right ho, bend back your ears.
The simplest approach will be for each of us to book directly with the campsite. http://www.parkfarmhouse.co.uk/ contact details on this web page.
They require full payment at booking. I have been speaking with them and have asked for 17 pitches initially earmarked for Club Arnage. There booking database does not allow for reservations without the money, so we need to make the bookings over the next few days, to avoid disappointment
When making your booking can you please say you are part of the CA ensemble, they will make sure that we are together as much as possible.
It works out when they come to print off the site allocation over the August bank holiday and will make sure that the four units that require electricity are near the tent pitches.
Very pleasant people at the booking office and keen to make sure we have a great stay with them.
For those of us that will be disappearing on the Sunday, if you want to leave your vehicle and kit on the campsite there is a small charge, called, race day pitch which costs 5 GBP.
The pitches are within a short walk direct into the main pits, it doesn't get better than this.
There is a camp warden and its loud noises finish at about midnight, no sweat for us.
let me know if there is anything else you would like clarified with the campsite or contact them direct but they are expecting us to make direct contact with them and if you make sure you mention Club Arnage it should be okay.
All the best from Del and Peter

Speak for yourself Peter - I drive an Audi - I think they have won more in the last year or seven ;) ;) ;) (even though they are boring!!)

Del, referring to the snorrin' ;) try and keep up at the back ::)
-
Thought you were referring to the FTO - makes the same noise (as the snorrin' - not the Audi) ;D ;D

would that be a very deep purring followed by several higher notes and then return to the purring ;)
