maybe would be cool to organise CA car stickers of some sort??
Andy
-
So the CA 2006 stickers we had this year weren't good enough fagey? Or you just completly missed we have 'm. ;D
-
just saying to look at options etc :( maybe new designs or summat (HA/ MB etc?) what designs are we looking at for 07??
-
I can beat those prices easily. At the end of the month Doris comes over to the DfH-meeting, and I already suggestd to her we should talk about merchandising possilbilities, coupled up to charity.
Let Martini have a go at a design for '07, I liked his '06-version :)
-
While I can't say much about this yet, I can say that along with some of the new site features coming soon you will also get a whole new merchandise section. It will be filled with all of your favorite Club Arnage branded things (all aimed at covering some of the site maintenance costs).
Stay tuned................
-
something a little less subtle might be worth a try ( of the pissed on heads ilk) they looked pretty good.
-
fagey, without shooting you down
they are dear - very.
Paddy does a great range of bits.
-
no worries ;D and i think a full range of goodies will be cool ;)
-
Sorry to drag this up......
But could the stickers incorporate something that is unmistakably Le Mans.
Sounds daft, but many people asked 'what is it?', 'what does it mean?'.
I got fed up with explaining.
Maybe just an outline map of the circuit and Le Mans 2007 and club address or something along those lines.
-
How 'bout something like this, Chris...
-
or this...
-
How 'bout something like this, Chris...
I want one :D
-
I want lots.
Well, a couple or three.
-
Oi....what about real women ;D ;D ;D Where is our sticker? there's me, Doris, Fran, Mrs Termite etc.......
(sorry been out on Christmas party - bit pissed ;D)
-
Would something like this be appropriate?
-
Oi! :o
-
and the worlds view of the laydees at christmas ;)
-
Oi Lorry where did you get my picture from ;D I haven't had my hair like that for years......
-
or this...
Oh yes, the second one for sure.
Exactly the sort of thing I was thinking of.
Will it be possible to produce them as just an outline? Rather than on a white background. I know it will make them tricky to apply.
But if not, then not to worry.
I assume a range of sizes would be available.

Hardest thing is the colour range, really depends on the background...
and this one to please Piglet, Doris, Fran, Mrs Termite etc.......
-
That's better. :)

Yes of course, understood.
White background would be fine then.
Any chance of making this the design for a flag also?
Is this an agreed design or will it be going to a vote?
-
good for the back of the t shirts also methinks ;D
-
Cool ;D

That would make production a lot easier, but it's okay to try and make some 'exclusive ones'.

Let's wait and see what happens design-wise. I can make flags at low numbers, no problem. See Our own flags and Team JPC's.

I really liked Martini's design from last year. Maybe he can either work from here or come up with something nicer ;)

Last thing I heard (a while ago) was a completely different idea for the rear of the '07 shirt. I thought Martini was involved in this as well.
I don't mind getting involved in designing (hell, I already am!), but I'm more a producer. From what I've seen with DfH is that you need a little patience and work together on the design. Someone can come up with an idea, and someone else can come up with something brilliant based on that idea. That's how we got to the lion in '06. Stranger started proposing the ING-lion, Martijn then came up with the idea to us the football-lion, and then I proposed the beer glass instead of the tongue (how predictable). This just as an example.
Making it together is more fun too!
ps. two things:
• First of all, I really don't care copying official logo's like the 24hr one, but some people might object. We have to take that into concideration within the design.
• Secondly there's the profit on the stickers. Of course we've been discussing charity for 2007, but ChrisConsi-thingy has opted for merchandise too, profits to go to the maintanance of this site. I think the best thing we can do is find some middle way. There's production costs (no profits on that), and the rest should go to charity and Club Arnage. Something worth discussing before setting prices.

Hi Paddy - The design looks great and I for one would definitely buy stickers with this design, however I think you will find that the ACO are fiercely protective of the '24 Heures' logo. I seem to recall from somewhere that even the typeface is protected by copyright! Maybe someone on this forum with connections to the ACO could clarify this further?
-

Paddy. Can they be life sized?
Au Revoir monsieur plod!

The dyno rod 24 hour service and most 24 hour recovery companies use a logo very similar to the 24 used at LM.

I truly believe that as long as you don't use their logo to sell for profit, they might leave you alone. But like I said before, I don't mind changing it to something that is still recognisable but not exactly the same.
By the way, I never got a complaint from the ACO about this shirt...
-
What are they gonna do? It's not worth it to do anything and it's only free advertising. But they are French.
Paddy: Already heared from the dutch football association for using there logo for ours? And putting it on a car.

And the guy you look in the face on the left was wearing a security-shirt, so he had something to do with the ACO... Although he mostly visited us for cigarettepaper so he could build his joints. ;D (Yep that's my hairy back your watching on that photo).
@il Cav: As far as I know someone even visited a footballgame where our national team played wearing the orange shirt with lion on the back, and didn't get any comments. So I guess whe're quite safe on that side.
-
i cant see the problem really as you get the 24 on loads of personal groups stickers/t shirts/ cars etc... saw quite a few variants last year!
-
there's always a way around it, the DfH-parody way! ;D

-
Only 24 per day? I always knew you MBers were light weights ;D
-
pints mate, pints ;D
-
or enen 'les formidables'!!!! :o
-
You can always change it in such a way that it looks the same but makes it a bit absurd, like our lion. In that case it is actually legal to do so, because absurdity does not fall under copyright regulations.
-
Any chance of any stickers designed to go on the inside of glass?
(like the ones car dealers always put in the back window).
-
I liked last years stickers and the reflectiveness meant that they stuck out for miles.
One thing though, having followed KK back from LM you can see the colours on the sticker from some distance but it is difficult to see the writing without being really close to them so you can see the stickers but not what they are about.
Hope that makes some sense!
