Title: Oh how he laughed

This morning at 0600 hrs I dropped the missus of at Heathrow Terminal 1 just as I have done many times before. After leaving her at the drop off point I drove off but instead of taking the exit ramp as usual for some inexplicable reason I decided to follow another car in to the short term carpark.

No, I couldn't reverse.

Yes I had to take a ticket.

Yes I had to pass the barrier.

Yes I had to pay.

Oh how the East European gentleman at the paybooth laughed when I explained to him that I had only been in the carpark for 30 seconds.

£2.30 it cost me to get out and I can still picture that bastard laughing at me.

I must lay off the wine the night before I drop her off again.

I managed that at Gatwick. The lad at at the exit gave me a pitiful look, and told me as i had been there less than 2 minutes it was free!
