Title: hello all Post by: armysti on December 31, 2006, 07:14:28 am Hey, I'm a big Le Mans fan should be over in '07, hope to pull a camping ticket from someone, have a Subaru WRX STI and the lady has a Subaru 2.5 RS, and we need the all wheel drive as we live in Alaska. Have been to Le Mans a couple of times, and although this is a Brit page, I hope to get to know you all well. ;D
Title: Re: hello all Post by: Nordic on December 31, 2006, 09:46:16 am Hello, I hope you enjoy your visits to club arnage, don't be too alarmed if some of the threads take an odd turn!
Alaska to Le Mans sounds a bit of a trek! good luck getting tickets. The ACO may be your first stop if your not to worried about which site you stay on, otherwise camping passes will start to become available later in the year on this site. Club Arnage is far from being a Brit page, people from Canada and the States, Holland, Germany and France plus many others (includeing some small Islands just of the French Coast, that will forever be a part of Britain!) are members. Title: Re: hello all Post by: Andy Zarse on January 02, 2007, 12:03:36 pm Welcome.
Having been a Scooby owner since for the past six years, I'm getting rid of my current WRX on Thursday and switching my allegiance to Nissan and the 350Z. Subaru's are truly great cars, their capabilities are really quite awsome. I mean, just how stupid do you have to be to put one off the road? No doubt I'll be back when the new Impreza comes out next year. Stay in touch on this website and you will definitely get a camping ticket. Oh and Alaska to Le Mans must be some kind of record. Good luck for the long trip in June Title: Re: hello all Post by: MIKE C (Liverpool Boys) on January 19, 2007, 12:10:11 am Welcome to CA.
I am also a scooby owner, I've had my RB5 from new in 99 and love it to bits, just bought it some new boots. Title: Re: hello all Post by: Brian(Liverpool boys) on January 19, 2007, 12:12:33 am How f---ing fast was That!!!! Time for beer.
Getting the hang of this site now Mike. ;D Title: Re: hello all Post by: Lawnmower Man on January 19, 2007, 01:01:51 am Welcome armysti.
Thats some traveling. But you'll enjoy every minute. As other have said we a diverse lot and CA is not just for Brits. Le Mans is really a festival/party given by the French for the Brits. But everyone is welcome. May be this is a good time to remind people about the Frapper page http://www.frappr.com/clubarnage/ t. alaska, do they have races there? Title: Re: hello all Post by: mgmark on January 26, 2007, 09:17:51 am Aside from anyone coming from Aus and NZ, you must get the prize for the longest and most awkward journey to get to the world's greatest motor race. Welcome aboard, enjoy the forum and make yourself known at Le Mans during race week.
I imagine that there are some fantastic ice rallies and off-road events in your neck of the woods there. They don't come much harder than this one. http://www.iditarod.com/ Title: Re: hello all Post by: mgmark on January 26, 2007, 01:54:32 pm welcome :) alaska, do they have races there? C spec here is alot like the Radicals you have. Kinda scared to do wheel to wheel, but love racing the clock. How does a person get a camping ticket? I plan on a rental car and hanging out, but after reading through the posts, it sounds like the tickets are spoken for.

If you are trying to get tickets direct from the ACO, then the only ones they have left now are Beausejour (if they still have any), which some people like, but is too far away from the action for me. The CA guide has a good run down on the various campsites. Keep your eye on the Sell or Swap forum here, as there are always tickets that come up - like Mike C with 2 Bleu Nord camping tickets at the moment - and unlike those that get sold on e-bay, everyone on the forum here is normally only after the tickets face value + postage and, IMHO is a rather more trustworthy thatn a lot of the stuff that gets flogged on e-bay. Alternatively, although you will pay a premium, you could take the worry out of it all by purchasing tickets through one of the tour operators like Page & Moy or MRI.
