Current favourite for shirt design is:

with (probably) the CA flag on one sleeve.

Current design for car stickers:

These will be in 3 sizes(cms):

6 x 30
4.5 x 22.5
3 x 15

Current thinking is that the medium size one will be reflective (as last year) and the small and large ones will be non-reflective.

I have updated the table above with all requests currently sent.  In order to get the spreadsheet to total up correctly, I have had to take a flyer with some requests as they did not specify particular sizes.

So please review your order and post any amendements on this thread.  Also post any new orders here.

I'll post the shirt and sticker prices here together with my contact details.

Del

Post by: DelBoy on February 03, 2007, 07:02:04 pm
The current order list is shown below - also shows who has paid!!

I am going to have to have a cut-off at some point in the near future so that the shirts will be ready for those going to Sebring, and I won't be ordering shirts for those that havn't paid!!

Also, there is a lot of people out there who have had shirts before and not ordered for this year - there is only going to be one run this year (because of costs and logistsics), so get your order (and payment) in quickly.

Also, there are plenty of car stickers still available.  Paddy has, once again, donated the cost of these to the cause, so get ordering.

Gary

I hope you mean "difference between the two prices" - you only ordered one shirt!!

As it is at the moment, you owe me 50p (I remember you overpaid on the original amount) which, being the magnaminous fellow that I am, can wait till June, and you can cough up at LM!!  However, if you do mean two shirts, let me know asap as we are getting very close to cut-off time.

Thanks

Just the one shirt Del.
I meant the difference in cost between the original shirt design and the improved shirt design, therefore shirts.
I will guard the 50p until the poo bar, and promise not to spend it cheap booze and wild women.

Hi Chris

Shirts had to go up by £1 due to extra colours on the design for the back.

So your shirt (£11) plus 3 stickers (£3) plus P&P (£1) = £15.

See here for options

Okay then. It all took a little longer than expected, but the shirts arrived today. At first I was very scared the shirts were a lot bigger, but checking my '06 CA shirt with a new XL size it worked out the '06 model has schrunk a little, only lengthwise by about an inch.
I've taken some pictures for you all to see...

First the front of the shirt. As agreed the right arm has the CA logo, also the logo in the French flag is the original one this time. The 'tag heuer' logo looks too much to the middle in the pic, but it lands on my right nipple when worn, so it should be okay.
Here's the '07 front with logo.
The 'tag heuer' in close up. The '07 is somewhat smaller than the '06 and so looks more subtile.

The Rear. My mobile hasn't got the greatest camera capabilities, so the colours on the rear are not as dark as it appears. But -to my knowledge- they are still a little dark compared to original Gulf colours. Maybe give it a hot wash as you get it in, that will make the colours fade a little. Sorry :-\...

The rear of the '07 shirt compared to the '06 shirt...

I will take the shirts to Sebring as listed by Delboy, the rest will be sent off by post on Friday to the UK. Del will need some time to sort everything out and then post them off, so expect your shirt in at least three weeks...

Thanks Paddy

Been off-line for a few hours - had to rebuild my PC to install XP professional so I formatted the disk and started over.  Just got to get the rest of the software loaded now.

Shirts look OK to me - if anyone dosn't like them, it's a bit late now.

Hope the DfH shirts also turned out OK.

hi -
sorry if I am arriving a bit late to discussion, I wanted to know if it's still possible to place an order for one of the CA shirts.

And, if so, are there options for buying one from here in the States?  (I noted a UK address for payment in 1st post of this thread.)

thanks -

Sorry Mike

You're a week or so too late.

I had to start this process early so that the finished product was available in time for Sebring - if you browse through the other 'T Shirt' thread, you'll see that the whole design process is a communal affair, and so takes quite a time to accomplish.  I only ordered on the printer for orders I had been given up to the cut-off time and it would be expensive to put on a second print run as the set-up costs (the bulk of the cost of the final product) would be prohibitive on just a few shirts.

There would have been no problem about ordering/payment/shipment to the US (I accepted Paypal).

Keep it in mind to look in here in the January/February time-frame for next years offering.

Del

Just to report that there will be a short delay in sending out the T shirts - I have decided to take a 2-week break in the Carribean while the money is still in my account   ;D ;D ;D

Seriously, just waiting for the stickers to be printed - and there may well be a little surprise extra enclosed

I should be shipping them out towards the end of next week.

Hi guys. Blame it all on me. After Sebring, all I had to do was finish the stickers. Due to heaps of work I only just finished them. Could have finished it over the weekend, but got stuck in diy (brownie points). Parcel will leave Holland tomorrow and will be with Del later this week.

Apologies to those who have been expecting it earlier...

It's not quite that bad - he's not taking the trailer, just the (large) roofbox.  He's camping and needs most of the boot for camera gear!   Travelling light is not a concept either of us have adapted to easily!

Glad they have started to arrive - I'm surprised really, only went to the post office at 10.30am yesterday.  Took me nearly an hour to stick all the stamps on (over 150 stamps, most of them the old ones that have to be licked   :P :P).  And as Paddy has already mentioned, they all went 2nd class, so well done to the Post Office.

Piglet, yours has probably gone Parcel Post (it containing more shirts than most), whereas all the 1- and 2-shirt packages went as Letters.

Glad they and the stickers are being well received.

Piglet, yours has probably gone Parcel Post (it containing more shirts than most), whereas all the 1- and 2-shirt packages went as Letters.

Piglet, you do know you can wash them don't you?

Anyway, here's the little extra. Especially for those who haven't ordered anything (http://forum.drinkingforholland.com/images/smiles/icon_mean.gif)

I have some of these stickers left over.

If anyone who didn't order a T-shirt wants one (or more), send me £1 to cover postage etc.

They really are fantastic.

I also have plenty of CA stickers, so if you want any, let me know.

Thanks Paddy. :) I have an ancient Landy which is a delicate shade of sh*t brown so have decided to plaster it with stickers to try to disguise it a bit!!

Got the shirt and stickers - looking good. Cheers Del. Well done Paddy.
Love the AM sticker too.
Postie jamming it in the letter box didn't seem to do any damage either so top notch packing...

T-shirt looks a bit crisp and smart though, will have to stain with bodily fluids before LM for the "lived-in" look.
Glad it wasn't pre-treated.

Also just picked up 7 ebay slot car purchases. Missus is well impressed with T-shirt, less so with me.

Someone asked to confirm that he owed me some cash - can't find the posting now, but the table below shows what I am owed  - and I hope that people will seek me out at LM and pay up.

I'll be on MB from Wednesday lunchtime in the Platinum Triangle with DfH, JPC and Rick Cutler.  Obviously, I'll be at the DfH party on Friday night and the 'poo bar on Saturday night.

Many Thanks for all your kind remarks.

See - as predicted no T-shirts today, so tomorrow morning, my only chance for a lie in for bloody weeks (and with Mr "I'm awake at the crack of dawn in France") - the bloody postwoman is going to turn up and bang on the door at 7am!

Either that or someone has nicked them so........I'd suggest you don't wear your CA tshirts around Bristol for a bit for fear of a mad woman stopping you and accusing you of nicking hers!!   ;D

(in case you can't tell I'm very excited about the new tshirts  ;D

Del - sorry given that I am the worst offender (bloody paypal charges...sorry again!) I'll cover Bob T, GaryFrogeye and myself by cheque. This does not impede on your right to claim some beer at a date of your choosing in June!

Title: Re: 2007 T-Shirts & Sticker Orders
Post by: DelBoy on April 20, 2007, 11:28:18 pm

.........bloody paypal charges...

It's not the Paypal charges, Toby - I covered that.

I had to increase the price of the shirts by £1 as the final design had more colours, and thus cost more to print.  As I had originally priced them virtually at cost, I had no leeway to take up the additional costs.

To be fair to everyone, I did say at the time that I was willing to wait till June to collect - the table in my post was simply a polite reminder

And as Paddy has pointed out, any surpluss from the exercise will go to charity.

Sorry Trevor (in Canada :D)

The T-shirts were printed to order.

I may have a couple of spares, but there is also a few people in the queue ahead of you who also came in after the order date.

This is the first year I have organised the shirts, and the printer I chose would have charged the full set-up costs again for a second run. Bearing in mind that on over 100 shirts, the set-up costs represented about 25% of the cost of the shirt, it would be prohibitive costwise to have a small second run.

I have learned a lot from the exercise, and will be better organised next year.

Whooo hooooo  I've got tshirts and stickers  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

They are fab!

(in reality I've probably had them for days - the Postman appears to be going in for some kind of treasure hunt - they were hidden away found the side of the house and he'd neglected to leave me a delivery card as my first clue!! - I'd looked round the back once but didn't see them!  ::))

Cheers all - not long now!

Talking of stickers, I need to put this years on my car. Problem is, how the hell do I get last years off? God only knows what Paddy uses for glue.

Soften with a hair drier Bob, and it comes away quite easily.  A quick wipe with white spirit, and all ready for this years'.

Would giving your car a blow dry on your driveway, scraping it with a blunt tool then pouring white spirit over it, not raise a few eyebrows along the street?

Better to stick this years next to last.

T-Shirt Order book Re-Opened

I'm probably letting myself in for a lot more hassle, but I have found a small printing outfit local to me who is quite reasonable on price for small numbers.

I am therefore re-opening the order book for additional CA shirts.  Because of the time frame, the order book will stay open for a maximum of 3 weeks - and I will have printed only those shirts that have been paid for (I still have 3 shirts unpaid for from the first order!!)

EDIT
***********************************************************************

Sorry Chaps - I'm going to have to kill this offer before it really got started.  I have just received a call from the printers and, I quote "We have had a major problem".  She wouldn't go into details, but she reckoned they would be out of the game for 3-4 weeks, which will make it too late for LM.

I have PM'd those people that have ordered, most of which I can satisfy from the spares I had.

***********************************************************************************

Many apols

This where I have to ponder the sizing issue!

Can I have 2 XLs and a medium please?  I seem to recall my wife found a cheque book lurking in the boot of my car the other day, so assumming its still there (and not cancelled) I'll send a cheque!

If you have any stickers left I'll have some of those too.
