Not to be outdone, the Melling Hellcat is lining up a team for 2008.

Obviously you can expect a rush of "northern" motor racing fans for next year.....you can add to Drinking for Holland, Schmoking for Jamaica with Flat Capping for Rochdale!!  ;D

This is the latest prototype pf the Melling Hellcat, the fastest production car, with a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 275 mph.

Altough it was supposed to be powered by a V10 engine delivering 700 hp, the company says it will be powered by a Quad Turbo V10 with an output of 1175 hp. And it seems that the final production car is close to world debut.

This is a real Rochdale.  83mph flat cap out and 0-60 in the time it take to pull a decent pint.

Certainly looks like a 350z on steroids....with all that power perhaps "The Hampster" would like a test drive!!!!!!.....rather than Clarkson.

Mind you with Mr.Mellings obvious engine tuning capabilities,it might just do well in the GT/GTs class if he has the right driver line up!
