Well as you have seen Nopanic an I will be winging it to Sebring!!!
What beer would you recommend to for rehydration on the trip?

To be honest, the beers I've seen most across-the-pond traveling CA'ers drink here in the States has been crap like IceHouse, Natural Lite and other assorted wee wee. I once saw someone drink 2 of them during Sebring!

To be honest Dave, I never saw any UK-based CA member's drinking weak watery wee-wee when I was there in 05. Had I done so words woulda been exchanged.
Wishy, great to hear you and NP are going, you'll have a blast. Not only will you need a list of what to drink (and Nigerian lager is as good as anything). You'll also need a very long list of what to avoid. Certainly don't touch anything with the word "Lite" involved. Don't go near anything with the word Budweezer written on the bottle (the King of beers my arse, king of piss more like) and definitely don't drink anything given to you by a man known only as The Amazing Randy. It will probably be non-alcoholic. :o ;)

Sam Adams and Yuengling are safe bets for the British - as they kinda resemble British beer in taste and colour/consistency.
I'm with Dave H - Guinness is an ideal track beer that you can get a decent buzz from - and it won't injure you, just as long as you keep it nice and cold.
Labatts? Are you guys totally nuts? It's the most hideous chemical monstrosity - and delivers the most stinging hang-overs - no way, no day.
In fairness, you can get most canned/bottled beers at local FL Supermarkets (Publix) or the local ABC Liquor Store. So if you hanker for Boddies or Tets, Fullers or Wife-Beater, Hienie or Molson - it's all here - we're not in the third world, you know....
I'm not a fan of Lite beer - but in mitigation, I feel that there is nothing wrong with Michelob, Bud or MGD either.

As Dave said, ABC liquors in Sebring is less inconvenient than most other places and they can order whatever you'd like, provided their distributors carry it. Just call at least a week in advance.

As much as I like the odd Nigerian Lager.
I can drink this at home anytime.....I just want to try some US beer that is not available here ......like Bud and Miller Light!!!!!!!!

I don't blame you. To be honest, unless you end-up on the VERY low end of the economic scale buying beer in the US, you can't go wrong. Just avoid brands that sound like they could be slang for womens' front bottoms (e.g. Schlitz, Old Milwaukee and Red Stripe)... all being particularly filthy.
I flew into Talladega for the Diehard race one year. To my horror, my "friends" (Fax being one of them), who were arranging the booze purchase because they had driven motorhomes to the event, had purchased one brand of beer. Bud Light.
I can honestly say that if it hadn't been for the Wild Turkey, various Schapps and something that had to have been straight from a still, I would never have got pissed. I have the same problem with Coors Light - however, it does keep these powerful ab muscles prominent through my shirt (under my mantits).

And for that matter 33,Kantenbrau etc ....from that strange country which we frequent on the odd occasion,across the Channel
On the lager front I prefer Stella,Grolsh and Orangeboom.
Mind you we did goto a Belgian bar in East Malling in Kent the other week.The food menu was limited,but the beer menu was awesome.
Tried Quak and a few others......deffo mind blowing liquid!!!!

I personally do not think that Labatt's is hideous, it sort of resembles the taste of some stronger tasting pilseners here in Holland. But I do have to agree with the hangover argument. Molson I like, specially the dry, not so much the Ice version.
We will probably drink Sam Adams anyway and maybe for Paddy some Heinies. Or Grolsch, as long as it is not amstel lite, bud, budweezer, rolling rock or any sort of lite beer, we'll save those for the girls.

Our top "decent" beer here in California is Sierra Nevada, which has proven very palatable to Brits like myself. Since they're now owned by Budweiser you might find it on the East Coast, and if you do it's a hell of a lot better than Sam Adams.

Odder still, the Florida brewery is in the ticketing and check-in area of Orlando International Airport. It is among the perfume, book and souvenir shops where passengers in moving walkways glide between the "people-mover" trains and the airport's Hyatt Hotel.
The brewhouse is clearly visible, in shop-like premises, behind glass. Next door is a bar serving half a dozen Shipyard beers, including the beautifully-rounded Old Thumper, the dry-hopped Fuggles IPA (5.75 abv) and a charcoaly but smooth stout (5 abv). Five other bars at the airport and one in the Hyatt each serve a couple of the Shipyard beers: often Old Thumper and a lighter, crisper, drier, perfumy, Export Ale (5.1 abv). There are about 30 Shipyard taps elsewhere in Florida, including one or two at the airport of the more northerly major city of Jacksonville

^ I could certainly be mistaken, but I don't think that's there anymore. I started flying in and out of Orlando in 2004 and don't remember seeing it. If there's anything that would snap me out of my usual haze, that'd be it. ;D

I believe they cost around 50 cents, from specialty shops like 7-Eleven.
