Title: entry list 2007 and new start time
Post by: Werner on February 27, 2007, 02:27:08 pm
Obviously they have just published it. New start time for this year is 15:00, because of the elections.

See: http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/actu/2007-02-27_GD_1267_gb.html

and

http://www.lemans.org/mailing/2007/02_27_invites/datas/jt2007_liste_invites.pdf

for the list itself

Cheers

Werner

I have to say that is the best looking entry list in all the years I have been attending. Each class will be a close battle.

Looks like the 3pm start time will become permanent!!

Tom DG will have to change his signature   :D :D :D

And I agree - best start line-up for several years.

Three R10s  :-\

and no WR  ;)

GT1 again looks like the class to keep a close eye on, lots of variety there.

There is variety in each class - and there are very few competitors that one could say are their to make up the numbers.

Great stuff.  The Lambo again and, best of all, both Oreca Saleens.  Wahay!  God, June is just too far away.  Thank goodness for Sebring and LMS test weekend. ;D
There is no WR because they are working on a Green Fuel  ;) car for '08.

Deb, I hadn't realised that the rules had been changed to add a class that runs on creme de menthe! - at least WR could finally get a class win then  ::)

The PSI Corvette reserve is a GT1 and it is the first reserve.

And from the look of the ACO's statement, this could be the time for the foreseeable future also.

Have to admid I still can't get my act together on LMP2. It would have been so much easier if Porsche would have attended :-\

Hmmm.

The only problem is the countdown clock they have is screwed up.
I've changed my sig image to refelct the new start time only to find it doesn't match the one on
http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/actu/2007-02-27_GD_1267_gb.html

People in Europe will find that my time differs from the "Official" one buy an hour.  UK people will find it is out by two hours.
Those in the USA with find it is out by seven to ten hours depending on time zone.

Just for the record My countdown is correct. The one on www.lemans.org is wrong.  For those in Europe it will be correct after the clocks change next month.

All looking good to me in terms of variety, with the usual handful of oddballs thrown in.  Roll on June!

Same with me Paddy, I'm also not sure about this small prototype thing. While the idea behind it (affordable prototypes for privateers) seems to be ok, overall performance of this class was usually a joke. In 2005 the "winner" of that class finished 27 laps (!!!) behind the GT2 winner. RLM called this class "The walking dead" in that year, best comment I've ever heard about it!
