Title: Top Gear magazine's Campaign for Real Racing Drivers
Post by: Steve Pyro on April 05, 2007, 10:14:51 pm
Forget all those boring F1 automatons, Top Gear has launched the antidote - the Campaign for Real Racing Drivers -

"Introducing CAMRRAD...
...the antidote to Ralf Schumacher. Each month we select a hero who's not only quick, but brave, badly behaved or possibly good in bed. Or, like James Hunt, all three. In his memory, all CAMRRAD inductees get a 'Sex: Breakfast of Champions' badge worth 99p."

James Hunt is/was my Hero.  It was rumoured that often when he raced, he was still pissed from the party the night before and had only got 3 hours sleep.

Some of the best driving I saw last year was the GP Masters.  Intrestingly enough, I believe the out of the first six drivers, none had actually ever won a F1 race.  But the driving was competitive and there was plenty of overtaking and place swapping.  Personally I think this was down to all the cars being basically the same - teams could make tweaks to the set up.  So a lot of it was down to driver's skill and not how much money was thrown at R&D.

Sounds like the drive out of Caen.  All that money wasted on a bunk.

Yup, there are too many crap drivers with fat wallets on the grid.
