Here's the map, Mal. If you're early enough, you can probably get pretty close to the track...

Thanks Paddy, advanced party will be there Monday. Where are you, in the normal place?
-
Yep, we'll be just below the "B", a little to the right ;D
I believe "D" goes all the way to the track, above the "D" on the map above.

If you are arriving early then D looks better to me, More trackside and the potential to be further away from the loos and road.

Is that the The "F" Word ?

Maybe - it probably means on the "F"ing runway knowing my luck...
-
To add to the general confusion - I asked the ACO where zone G is in Bleu Nord and they said "over to the left if you're facing towards the aerodrome".
Hmmm.

Ah, well in that case zone F must be near that then. Clear as mud now...

What zone is the house with the pool could we block book this as a CA site ? ;D

The thought just crossed my mind about Zoning and the new style tickets. Well the only way they can control it is to ask you to pitch in a place defined by your ticket. What happens if everyone who is set up in Zone 'B' swaps car ticket with other people in Zone 'A' after you have set up? It would be impossible to police IMHO.

The French Gestapo did their level best to Police the new zoning and pitch marking to the point of being ridiculous. They made it difficult until about Thurs pm when thing got too busy for them to care.
Prior to this they were getting people to move cars by 6 inches and frequently checking tickets.
Something to bear in mind for next year !

No such problems on Bleu Sud. They had been round with the spray cans marking pitches but no-one really bothered keeping to them, it was sort of self policed, didn't see anyone taking the piss regarding pitch size and as a result the security guys were quite relaxed.
We were in and out all w'end with the van too without being scanned, just a quick glance and a smile! Worked out quite well I thought although there were some very rough, uneven and boggy spots that were marked as pitches.

On MB the security guys where quite relaxed, as they dropped by often for a beer. ;D Although next time they won't get any, for not being around when they were most needed (fridayevening, saturday, sunday).
The 'Controlee' friends were a different number, on tuesdayafternoon I already explained ten times to the same person what the matter was. ::)
