Title: Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Simon (WRC GT4) on June 17, 2003, 04:43:14 pm If any one knows who was responsible for the most amazing firework display (X2) near the roundabout just outside Houx Annexe, then please send on my regards. Damn good show 8) :D
And a great weekend it was to. Can't say the same for the weather forcasts that were available. although the weather was brilliant so good result there too. Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: jpchenet on June 17, 2003, 05:41:45 pm Hear Hear!!! One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Our group have already decided we are going for it next year too!! Although safety might come into it as the state we were in for most of the weekend I don't think we should be let anywhere near fireworks!! ;D

As said on another post, I will take a bow on behalf of myself and our team for that one. You'll be able to tell who we are for the massive 'tree' flagpole always adorning our camping area. Glad you enjoyed, we'll be back next year. Hopefully the Lotus Europa will be fixed for more roundabout action and I'll have the Stylus up and running for some hooning around!! Bring on 2004, the fireworks WILL be bigger and better - as always, Mark Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: wavey on June 23, 2003, 03:05:17 pm A top display - captured on video! Lets hope for a bit more comitment from fellow Houx campers next year!
Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Simon (WRC GT4) on June 23, 2003, 11:07:31 pm What happened to the Lotus? thought it was lacking it's usuall mental appearances ??? ???
Tree flag pole was a bit "bent" on the tip this year!!! and i see Houx Annexe got it's own special mention in the sun newspaper this weekend, with a note of the naked lads on the roundabout (female reporter) ::) Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Steve Pyro on June 23, 2003, 11:16:53 pm ;) You'll be able to tell who we are for the massive 'tree' flagpole always adorning our camping area. Wow! I saw the 'flagpole' and marvelled as to how you got it up there - assuming it wasn't a naked tree of course. I especially liked the beer can right at the top. ;D Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: BikerGod on June 25, 2003, 11:01:34 am Dead trees were few and far between this year, so we convinced ourselves we'd still be able to see the flag when the wind dropped with that one... shame it wasn't as tall as last year though!
Marky, you seem to have forgotten our pledge to take the roundabout a stage further next year... Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: wavey on June 25, 2003, 11:13:47 am The Europa had a few problems on the Friday (drive shafts I think). Did any one catch it in the drivers parade???. I didn't get down to LM until the Saturday, so was a little dissapointed to miss it on the round-about this year. There's always next year though!
Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: wavey on June 25, 2003, 11:16:46 am . . . what pledge is this biker god? ??? ???
Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Sparky on June 25, 2003, 11:43:15 am Can I assume we are talking about a s*#t brown Austin Allegro. I have managed to source a NOS kit for 50 quid. Still leaves me 450.
Cheers................... Still walking though. Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Marky Stylus on June 25, 2003, 12:07:48 pm ;D

Outsiders will be permitted to join on agreement of the committee (you know who you are) and a firework fund donation. A full race charter is evolving as we speak, watch this space... Title: Re:Sunday night in Houx Annexe Post by: Andy Zarse on June 26, 2003, 04:31:23 pm Objectives of the Challenge- Drive to Le Mans in banger , treat vehicle with minimal respect culminating in xxxx :P derby on Sunday evening, return to Blighty via Train or Minibus. Weekend cost of car, camping & race entry not to exceed £500. All cars to be painted in team colours ( TBA) by hand. Team entries of driver & up to 3 passengers allowed. Cars to be fitted with Rocket Launch Tubes Cars to be modified in such a way so that Lights will not be smashed by slight bumping, purpose being to remain legal until arrive at destination. Nitrous Kits allowed but must fall within budget. Special Prizes to be awarded for varying categories:- Cheapest, most interesting, most unusual feature, best modification etc. Finally all cars must be booked on Seacat rather than that bloody boring ferry! :P I was really up for this in the Commer. With a few mods to fit rocket launchers and nitrous I reckon I qualified this year anyway, so no sweat. The tough old boot is made of cast iron and is totally indestructable. Then I read the last sentence.... Sorry, but if you seriously think I am ever travelling again on that hideous heap of Seacatshit, then you are sadly very much mistaken my fine feathered friends.
